Beanpot LXX: Timeless!

Split-N

All Hail
Exactly four weeks before the puck drops for the 70[SUP]th[/SUP] Edition of what is arguably the best college hockey showcase in the world, despite the NCAA’s best efforts at sabotaging it.

BU and Harvard are riding high while any team with Cutter Gauthier (BC) is automatically a contender. Meanwhile, NU remains a mystery wrapped up inside of an enigma and still has Devon Levi. BC-Harvard is the early game with NU-BU following.

Let the snark begin!

Even more lololol. No one outside New England gives a ****. Seriously. Get over yourselves.

I'm thinking the national coverage the tournament gets kinda negates your lololol.

Wil be my first time back in three years. Looking forward to it but I'm already nervous.

You, sir/madam, are sooo right about nobody outside of New England giving a ****. That would explain why NHL Network, TSN, and some RSN's pay the rights fees year after year despite the fact that nobody watches.

Never said no one watches. Hell, it's hockey. I'll watch it. Doesn't mean I care who wins. Or that it's the "greatest college hockey showcase in the world." Lol

My quick google search turns up significantly more viewership for beanpot than ncaa final. 2020 beanpot had 640k viewed vs ncaa ranging from 320-435k over the last three years.

That ... doesn't prove people outside Boston care... The Boston DMA has 2.4 million TV households. And none of the Beanpot teams have been in the Frozen Four the last 3 years. Lol

The ticket office at the Garden makes it so hard to buy tickets. I was told today that maybe tomorrow they will release tickets to the BC ticket office. As usually the case, you must buy both games, the semi round games and finals / consolation games.

Still no word from the Garden on tickets. Just called the BC ticket office and they will prioritize season ticket holders soon on sections 15 to 17 LOGE

BC sent an e-mail re Beanpot tickets w/ link to Ticketmaster. Balcony seats start at $40 before fees, surcharges added by TM. Is this new BC policy? In past we could order thru BC ticket office…

I do think it is a new policy this year. I'm surprised BC waited this long. I got my tickets before Christmas.

Seems like added corporate fingerprints. Colleges save some costs while possibly pick up part of TM’s imaginative fees. Teaching students and other fans about inflation - as if annual tuition increases weren’t a strong enough lesson!
