Beanpot LXVII: It Never Gets Old!

Split-N

All Hail
Only seven days and a wake-up before the first round of the 67th Beanpot unfolds at the TD Garden.

It has always been said that season records don't mean anything on the first two Mondays in February. And this year, that may not be a bad thing considering that only two of the contending teams have winning records at this point, and neither of them are the usual suspects from Commonwealth Ave. Here's where things stand:

Harvard: 10-6-3 and trending up
Northeastern: 15-7-1 but trending down
BU: 10-10-3 and trending flat
BC: 8-12-3 and can't seem to get out of its own way

So let the hype begin!

Not sure if Harvard is trending up but thanks for the thumbs up. In my mind, Northeastern is the team to beat. And let's face it, BU could be oh for the season and they would still be a threat to win it.

Re: Beanpot LXVII: It Never Gets Old!

The Beanpot needs a play-in game. With how terrible BU and BC have become, there's no excuse for not giving Bentley a shot. They need to rotate four teams and have a play-in game with the fourth place team.

What on earth? One of them played for a national championship just four years ago; the other made the Frozen Four the following year. They’re both having underwhelming seasons. It’s a fluke.

Also, since when is Waltham in Boston? All four Beanpot schools play their home games within the city limits.

Um....BU has been one win away from the Frozen Four the past two years.

Re: Beanpot LXVII: It Never Gets Old!

and last yr NU was 2 wins away from the FF.. sigh.. okay..
with the way things are going for the 4 schools.. its critical we do not allow anyone else in as this may be the only hardware any of us gets within earshot of.. this season. :)
