BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

So Venric Mark, who is truly an elite explosive back, will now transfer from Northwestern.

Additionally, Sr. WR Christian Jones, who led the Wildcats with 54 catches, 668 yards, and 4 TDs, is out for the season due to a knee injury.

A promising bounce back year looks to be much more difficult.

I thought NU had a shot at the division this season if there ended up being a three way tie at 6-2 or something like that, but it looks like those chances are gone.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

We are two weeks away from the season openers. Ok, really 13 days but I'm not going to count Georgia Southern-Georgia State as the actual opener to the season.

As today is the the launch of the SEC Network, I thought it would be fitting to make SEC predictions.

EAST
1. South Carolina
2. Georgia
3. Missouri
4. Florida
5. Vandy
6. Tennessee
7. Kentucky

WEST
1. Alabama
2. Auburn
3. LSU
4. Ole Miss
5. TAMU
6. Mississippi State
7. Arkansas

Championship: South Carolina over Alabama

Steve Spurrier has gotta come through one of these years, and I think this year is it. South Carolina to the playoffs.

After Bama and Auburn, there is a huge drop-off in quality this year. Normally that division is stacked but this year is going to be a down year after the draft class that division had.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

LSU should still be pretty good, but I've been hearing how good the Mississippi schools are supposed to be for about four years now and they never finish anywhere near the top. TAMU is nothing without Manziel and Bielema is in way over his head Arkansas... and I love it.

These were my thoughts exactly. I've still been skeptical though about their QB situation, as the offense is predicated on a running QB, which they lack.

I'll have mine tonight as well. Thought today was perfect as well haha.

Ugh, I just puked a little in my mouth reading that. Hopefully USC goes down in flames this year and they are never heard from again. :p:D:D

I got busier than anticipated yesterday, so here are my SEC picks:

EAST
1. South Carolina
2. Georgia
3. Florida
4. Missouri
5. Vanderbilt
6. Tennessee
7. Kentucky

WEST
1. Alabama
2. LSU
3. Auburn
4. Ole Miss
5. Mississippi State
6. Texas A&M
7. Arkansas

Championship: South Carolina over Alabama

I think Auburn will get beat at Kansas State, and I really like Georgia as well, I just can't pick them to win the East because I can't remember the last time they had a healthy squad.

I just figured you were too captivated by the SEC Network. :p

Lord knows ESPN was. The entire homepage was literally a giant advertisement for it.

Looks like Verizon is not a fan of the SEC Network. Tried to access some SEC stuff on ESPN3 and was told "unsupported".

About that starting quarterback.... Though cynical me says the investigation is complete in mid January.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

Sounds like 3 starters and a backup.

"A foursome of Notre Dame veterans was not seen leaving the Irish practice field Friday afternoon. Cornerback KeiVarae Russell, defensive end Ishaq Williams, linebacker Kendall Moore and wide receiver DaVaris Daniels were not among the players who exited the LaBar Practice Field Friday."

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

Notre Dame has a school? I thought it was just a football team.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

Haven't even watched it yet:) (I do have it, though.) God knows Finebaum has had a hard on for this thing for awhile.

I don't have it. Though you could say I used to because ESPNU was all-SEC since actual competition ended back in June. I swear the Iron Bowl 30 for 30 (or SEC stories, whatever they called it) was on perpetual repeat.

As for Notre Dame, I've heard rumors that a tutor was doing assignments in return for sex.
