How high in the computers does North Dakota State need to finish to make a BCS bowl?

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

Wouldn't that be something. They would've probably been very competitive in the Mountain West.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

Michigan at Iowa Saturday looks to have a temp in the teens with a brisk 20 mph wind from the Northwest.. Looking forward to some old time Big Ten football!

One of those "wins" is against D2 Ferris State (not sure how they get to count that one), so I wouldn't anoint them for promotion to FBS just yet. :p

Don't tell the people in Fargo that. Many of them truly believe that they'd give Alabama a game for the National Championship.

And another is against defending Big 12 champion Kansas State.

Stole the words from me mouth.

Alabama would wipe the floor with NDSU. I truly think the Bison would hold their own in all of the mid majors and they'd win at least a game or maybe 2 in the big conferences.

I think that is pretty accurate.

When determining playoff eligibility the NCAA only considers D-I wins, just as FBS teams need 6 wins vs FBS opposition.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

With the proliferation of bowls and all the money involved, that wouldn't surprise me in the least.

That's exactly the rule: One win vs. FCS. I think a couple years ago a school got in with two FCS wins because they had an FBS team cancel last minute. Maybe they didn't get a bowl but they at least filed a waiver.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

Georgia Southern defeats Florida 26-20 AND collects $550K from the Gators. Hopefully the GSU AD has already cashed that check because Florida is going to want that money to buy out Muschamp.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

Badgers dicked around just enough to keep the game interesting, but luckily the Gopher offense was completely inept.

And yes I saw a couple of missed interference calls, but that doesn't excuse the missed (WIDE) open receivers and turnovers.

The axe remains ours. A full decade at that.

If we lost I'd have been ****ed at:

Gordon being basically benched even though he was gashing the Goofs.

The stupid 4th down play.

The missed pick 6 opportunity.

Stave continuing to be Stave - at least in the first half. Starting to wonder if he's ever going to get better.

The missed field goal due to a bad snap. Special Teams Center - you have one ****ing job.

We tried to give it away, but the Goofs wouldn't have any of it.

I will say that the streak appears to be in jeopardy in the near future. Gophers are really improving and I was very impressed with their defense today.

They'll be good enough soon to take a game like today's.

Until then though... OUR AXE!
