BC Eagles 2020-21 - in memory of Steve Gerrish

Hello all! Fun going down memory lane of regionals. Was reminiscing after Knights clunker last week thinking it was the worst game by a BC goalie in the playoffs in recent memory. Then someone reminded me of '11 vs CC which I had successfully scrubbed from my brain. Confident Knight will bounce back, team has makings for a Jerry run.

Also given it's my first post of season RIP Steve, met him several times at road games. Great man.

The rules are the rules and there should be no exceptions. But hell no to PC, they don't belong either (similar to ND). I don't know enough about COVID (sorry Fauci) but the only team that should be in that game IF they were to bend the rules should be SLU - could they be re-tested and leave their HC at home and play?

PC was stated as 17th team. They can rapid test and bus in Saturday for game. Simple plug in. Integrity of tournament is at hand.

Didn't NCAA just get raked over the coals cause they were giving rapid tests to the women's basketball teams?

Not a rona expert but my doctors office stopped giving out rapids cause they were so inaccurate

CLAVER, been a while!

Honestly I'd rather BC beat ND and send them home but for entertainment value, the whining that will be going on (already happening) for years to come about this because BC of all teams could benefit is definitely going to outweigh beating ND on the ice.

Crap. Was just coming over here to see if anyone was going to Albany. Highly doubt I'd go for the 1 game on Sun. But....

Last I saw they were only selling two day passes in pairs. And you need proof of a negative COVID test within the prior 3 days I believe.

Imagine being an ND fan (sounds terrible) and potentially making travel plans and buying tickets.

I've been completely immunized; wonder if that'd count?

Just called Times Union Center, still need the PCR test(results 3-4 days) immunized or not, gonna be sitting on the couch watching the game on the telly.

This Lemonade guy. Just won't go away. He's not gonna be able to sleep tonight.

Some of us are well adapted adults and just talk hockey for fun and entertainment and dont take the banter seriously. You should try it. Props to Jerry York and giving ND covid though - "Covid is still undefeated and so are we" stated Coach York.

I'm not the one endlessly crying about something everyone knew could happen. It happened in the hoops tournament.

It’s a shame that kids/young men get hit with the China virus. Not to get too political, but the communist Chinese government lied their arses off this virus and it’s all their fault.

I was looking forward to this game. Let’s hope all the ND and SLU players have no lasting effects. We’re all one big hockey family.

Go Eagles!

End of the day BC got lucky and the team they were supposed to face is out. Happens. Could have the NCAA done a better job preparing for this stuff of course (bubble, pushed deadline for replacement team back until after covid tests came back). If this happened in Fargo then ND is still playing.

Jeez, between this and the limey sighting on the BU thread...it's like old home week!!
