I find it hard to believe Rasaenan is not coming back next season for his senior year given that he has been drafted. Source?

Go Eagles!

Jeff Cox reported a couple days ago. Trusted Source. Doesn't make sense IMO but so out of the blue you have to believe it

Re: BC Eagles 2020-21 - in memory of Steve Gerrish

Going back to the old thread I am very excited to see how the BC defense turns out, mainly Lovell because of his frame. Him and Fensore on BU are similar because of their size, but Fensore is a more explosive skater while Lovell is more naturally gifted skater with better edges. Going to be interesting seeing if Printz from PC or Andre Lee from UML on him in front of the net. A good offense is a good defense (sometimes), which will definitely help at moments

Anyone have any idea of what our schedule may look like as far as out-of-conference games are concerned for next season?

If there is a next season there is of course the Beanpot. Denver is coming to Conte October 16. Supposedly St Cloud is also coming to Conte and BC is to play at Bentley as well. Anything else is pure speculation.

Re: BC Eagles 2020-21 - in memory of Steve Gerrish

Based on York's comments last year they will be doing that home and home with Notre Dame again. He did say they would continue to do that as long as the schools support it. I think what he meant is the financial angle of taking a charter flight out to SB.

Re: BC Eagles 2020-21 - in memory of Steve Gerrish

There is more to this story than we know. I think it is a real loss and will leave a hole in certain aspects of overall team BC is able to put on the ice, if there is season next Fall.

Guessing you mean Räsänen. It’s a tough loss no doubt but certainly not a deal breaker for the team in my mind. If he was unhappy, whether it was as the only Finn or in his role, and wanted to go home, he wouldn’t been a good influence on the team anyways. This team will be very good, they should only want players who want to be here.

Re: BC Eagles 2020-21 - in memory of Steve Gerrish

He offered to sit to let Merulla play on senior night. That's a good team guy. If he left because the twins are gone I can totally understand that. And if he got his degree on top of it or will complete in the summer online (is that a thing?)...more power to him.

Yes I was talking about Rasanen and I recall JY saying in 48 years he never had anyone come and say he was willing to give up ice time to let a senior play his last game on home ice. I was really surprised that he would leave but maybe it was the Finns, maybe the virus, or maybe being relegated to the 4th line after Giles went down. I think it was a big loss. There are many Freshman who can step in and take the place of a 4th player who logged significant time over the previous 3 years. He loses out on the success of the team in post season play for his Junior Year as well as what should be a very solid and top rated team his Senior Year.

Re: BC Eagles 2020-21 - in memory of Steve Gerrish

Tim Delay
Jack Dempsey
Tim Lovell
Nikita Nesterenko
Danny Weight

Some interesting names here:

Tim Delay - Wasn't there a Tim Delay who played at BC during late '80's, early 90's?
Jack Dempsey - I bet he packs a punch; his grandfather's bar plays a brief, but crucial role in Godfather 1.
Tim Lovell - Son of Tim Lovell who played at UMaine during the mid-90's? UMass, too.
Nikita Nesterenko - Grandson of Eric?
Danny Weight - Son of Doug?
