Battle for the Broadmoor: UND vs. St, Clooud

Re: Battle for the Broadmoor: UND vs. St, Clooud

Anyone know what end of the X we'll be attacking twice against St. Cloud tonight? Ready to buy tickets, but want to make sure I have a close view of the majority of the goals. :D

just get some tickets and go sit wherever you want. It shouldn't be a problem

You are the away team so you'll be defending the goal on the west side twice. Unfortunately for you that's where all the scoring is going to be in the 1st and 3rd periods! Your team will be shooting 2x where the zamboni's come out.

St. Cloud will be the home team. They were the #3 seed, and UND was the #4.

Roe is said to be a game-time decision, though personally I wouldn't mind him missing tonight to be 100% for next week.

Re: Battle for the Broadmoor: UND vs. St, Clooud

I am hoping I can get an honest assessment of this game for those of you have seen these teams all year. I have seen 7 or 8 UND games. It seems they are playing as good as anyone right now. I always thought if they got a decent effort out of Eidsness they were a great team. I have only seen SCSU once. I understand Lee is fantastic. Just how good is SCSU? Thanks.

Oh yes, I am also cheering for the arena collapse. Even if I'm in it. I rode the zamboni, my life is complete, I'm good to go.

Time to put the No Dak Hicks in their place yet again. A lot of you like to make post saying Kristo > Schroeder, but where are your facts?

Here are some for you.

JS - Freshman year line in 35 games = 13-32-45 which put him 5th in the WCHA in scoring and was All WCHA 2nd team and of course the ROY.

Kristy - 39 games (4 more than JS as a Freshman) 14-21-35 and was only on the all rookie team.

JS - Broke all time record for USA hockey for the World Juniors. Was drafted in the first round on NHL draft and his team just recently gave him the max deal of 2.7 million over 3 years. This year JS had 9-19-28 in 2 less games than Kristy - not a bad line at all.

Kristy - drafted 56th overall and will probably have to stay in college at least 3 years before the NHL even considers giving him anything. So JS is making 2.7 while the only compensation DK will make is getting free Keg cups when he hits up Frat Party Frattin's keggers.

Kristo had a little better year this year sure, but until we see what he does next season you can't say he had a better career, because the facts show Schroeder is better. Bottom line is JS was good enough that he is now rich in the NHL and Kristy has to live in that hell hole you call Grand Forks, ND.

UND is good and probably the hottest team in the country right now. IMO, SCSU only has a chance if Roe can play near his potential. Without him I doubt there is enough firepower. Even if he plays well I give the advantage to UND. The only thing going in SCSU's favor will be that UND will be playing 3 games in 3 nights.

Pains me to think, but I give the edge to St. Cloud. The Sioux spent their energy on Thurs, and played on pure heart Fri. A better-rested SCSU team should get some chances against a weary UND defense.

Will Frattin throw a lawnmower at Marvin in the pregame warm-ups?

Word is the Jamaican bobsled team was recently at UND and as a joke they brought a few of those blow dart thingies that hit you in the neck. There were a few hockey fans there who seemed fascinated . . . It was all in humor, of course . . .
