Basketball 2017

It's actually longer now. 1096 was back in 2022.

So wait, has he not missed a game or is this only regular season games he's played in?

Probably only those he's played in. Everyone does load management nowadays.

So the Nets failed miserably, huh?

Russell Westbrook signed that 5 year, $205 million deal in 2017 with OKC.

He's played for 5 teams in those 5 years.

While we're on crazy records, during his time with the Wizards, Russell Westbrook broke their record of triple-doubles with the team......after playing just 38 games there.

That says a lot more about The Wizards than Westbrook.

Pete Alonso has 146 homeruns. He is 7th all-time for the Mets. The Mets have existed for 62 seasons. Pete Alonso has played in 530 games.

Very much so.

On a similar note, Brook Lopez is the all-time leading scorer for the Nets. Now, he's a decent player and all, but by no means a great. More of a comment on how everyone gets the hell away from the Nets when they can (see: this season).

I think the NBA officially broke last night.

The Mavs went out of contention for the playoffs earlier in the week, but still had a chance at the play-in tournament if they won their last two games (against the Bulls resting players and the last place Spurs) and the Thunder lost one of their final two games. Instead, they sat five players and would've sat six, but it was Slovenia Night so they played Luka in the first quarter. Mavs ended up blowing an 11 point lead in the 4th quarter, including a 20-2 run, and losing by three. In the post game interview Jason Kidd straight up admitted it was at the direction of Cuban and the GM to sit everyone. This after Cuban was fined 600k in 2018 for admitting to tanking.

The Mavericks have a first round draft pick held by the Knicks, but it's top ten protected, so losing last night gave them roughly an 80% chance of keeping that pick for the draft this summer. Still, they have a top three player in the world in Luka, they traded for Kyrie on a rent-a-player deal at the deadline, and I cannot think of a team that was still in contention with literally two games to go in the season that just packed it in.

Why the hell would you admit it? Don't people know how to cheat anymore?

Son, Bob Kraft is disappoint.

Well the NBA just announced they’re opening an official investigation. Would be great if they stripped protection of the draft pick.

Loserville USA lost again last night in the play in game. If they manage to win Friday they get to lose to the #1 seed in the Western Conference.

Some racial concerns in the Kings-Warriors series. In game 1, Vallejo rapper E40 was ejected after responding to heckling from white Kings fans. In game 2, a black Warriors player was ejected for accidentally stepping on a white Kings player who has grabbing his ankle.
