B1G Hockey Dominance: 2015-16 edition

Combined 2-14-3 against non-AHA teams.

One team in the tournament last year.

Team considered the second place team in preseason is 0-3 and has scored just 1 goal all year.

Team picked to win league had two one goal wins over Mercyhurst.

3 winless teams

4 of 6 teams have already allowed 10 or more goals total just two weeks in.

That realignment thing is working great though. Love the extra $ for those losing teams.

It is ugly right now that's for sure, things can turn around pretty quickly though.

One correction- Michigan won by TWO goals last Friday. Just a little less suckage for the B1G.

Still, for a conference with all of this history- 23 National Championships (NCHC-17, HE- 13, WCHA- 8, ECAC-7, if I do my math right), to have this kind of expectations is pretty weak.

General consensus among the fans is tournament or bust this year.

Given that we lost on home ice to LSSU last night, that's not looking too good.

I remember the days when this would have offended me, but instead I just laughed loudly since I would have wrote the same thing.

I long for the WCHA and North Dakota, Denver, Duluth, Tech, etc.

I agree with a paint thinner drinker.

I miss the uscho game threads the WCHA had, good times...good times. Hell, some weeks we would have the threads locked up by game day or so.

Except for the possibility that the bottom 16 tournament may accept the bid for the conference champ, too.

Or the bus may break down.

I am willing to bet a six-pack Penn State comes in 1st or 2nd in the conference.

The last 4 years the Gophers have had the most wins in college hockey and have taken home 4 regular season championships, 2 frozen fours, 1 NC game appearance. Granted, this year may be a little rough replacing 9 starters and starting 6 freshman, but we'll come around we always do.

It's time for becky,Michigan,Michigan State etc... to pick up the slack. Let's go out and win one for the B1G this weekend!
