"Autonomy" - Will this affect NCAA Hockey?

Re: "Autonomy" - Will this affect NCAA Hockey?

BCS: B1G, BC

Rest of FBS: Bowling Green, Miami, Western Mich, UMASS Amherst, Air Force, UCONN, Notre Dame. 7 total.

I believe the Fighting < race-based moniker > of "Our Lady of South Bend" is considered a member of the ACC under this arrangement --> BCS P5 member.

Isn't Notre Dame a BCS member by itself even before the ACC "affiliation"???

Re: "Autonomy" - Will this affect NCAA Hockey?

Since Notre Dame is an independent (as of now), their lack of a conference doesn't guarantee them a BCS bowl by winning the conference, so I excluded them from the BCS. Of course, since Notre Dame owns their own exclusive TV network known as NBC, I don't think they really care about guaranteed bowl appearances.

Re: "Autonomy" - Will this affect NCAA Hockey?

Do you honestly think that if the Power 5 leave for football they will stay for basketball? why would they want the lame restrictions for that if they dont have them for football? Do you think UNC wouldnt give Roy Williams left nut right now to avoid the scandal they are mired in at the moment? It wouldnt be 2 years before the threats started and within a decade basketball goes "pro" as well.

Once autonomy happens the power 5 become the minor leagues and the rest become the amateurs.

Once autonomy happens the power 5 become the minor leagues and the rest become the amateurs.

And then maybe the FBS / FCS distinction is eliminated.

I'd be OK with us challenging for the NCAA title again. :-)
