Aurora University is adding a D3 women's team in 2017-18

I have a hunch the Trine situation is going to be a losing proposition because of many factors but mostly their location.

They are in the same vicinity as Adrian. This might attract MI players who want to get away from home, but not go too far.

That would put St. Scholastica on a 10 hour bus trip, without making any stops.

It's 11 hours to Adrian. I'm guessing if they join the NCHA they will do the division thing...

Division 1
Adrian
Trine
Lake Forest
Concordia
Aurora

Division 2
St. Schoalstica
Finlandia
St. Norbert
Northland
Marian

Play each team in your division twice, other division once. That way you get Trine/Adrian in one trip if you are traveling.

Also opens up 3 more non-conference games for each team...which could help Adrian/Lake Forest/SNC get more quality opponents on their schedule
