I think I only scored 10. 4 from RoMo, 3 from Hurst, only 1 from Canisius, and 2 from RIT.

You are right. I mistakenly listed Canisius as your pick for series winner even though you called Canisius, bentley, bentley in the series. Thanks for the honestly!

First let me apologize for my picks coming through in lower case letters. When
I typed them they were all upper case. I don't know what happened.
Not only was my typing poor, so were my choices. By my count I should only
have seven points if I understand your scoring system correctly. I picked
five individual games and two series winners.

Actually, we are both wrong - you should have 8 points. You got 5 individual games correctly, plus two series winners as you stated, but the extra point was from predicting that there wouldn't be a 3rd game in the Army/Mercyhurst Series.

I did some thinking about calling the same team in all 3 games, to see if it makes sense to do, especially when you get a point for correctly predicting no third game.

Calling the same team in all 3 games will give you anywhere from 0 to 2 points.
Team A vs Team B - call A, A, A
0 points: Team B in 2
1 point: Team B in 3 (1 point for the game Team A wins)
2 points: Team A in 2 or 3 games (for Team A's two wins).

Calling a sweep by a team will give you only 1 or 3 points.
Team A vs Team B - Call A, A, no game 3
1 point: Team B in 2 (the point is from the lack of game 3), or Any 3 game series (If B wins in 3, A gets 1 win. If A wins in 3, only one win gets a point because you called no game 3)
3 points: Team A in 2 (you called all 3 games correctly).

Statistically, I am not sure why way makes sense. It is a lot easier to get 2 points out of Scenario 1 than it is to get 3 out of scenario 2 I would think, but last weekend we had 4 sweeps. Pick at your own will!


Edit: I did not include the extra point for choosing the underdog in this case...That would change things a bit.

Remember, scoring was 1 point for correctly picking the higher seed, 2 points for correctly picking the lower seed, 1 point for correctly picking no game 3 (if applicable), 1 point if you had the winners of game 1 and 2 reversed (only valid in the 3 game series), and 2 points for correctly picking the series winner...

If I made a mistake, please let me know (I need to make scoring less complicated!)

This weekend is a bit easier. 2 points for correctly picking the lower seed to win, 1 points for correctly picking the higher seed to win, with a 3 point bonus for semi final rounds and a 4 point bonus for the final. (So really, Friday's games are 4 or 5 points, and the final is worth 5 or 6).
