Five conference games played tonight, and we came within 34 seconds of having three ties (that was NU escaping, scoring with little time to go in OT).

Wow!! What a night!! Huskies win in an 8-5 shootout at Niagara.

Golden Knights win and take 4 points on the weekend on the P/Q trip.

Huskies FB is going to a BCS bowl on a 52 yard FG with 17 seconds left.

I am swimming in endorfins this morning:):)

Btw, is it my imagination or is there some kind of parity asserting itself in the AHA this year? Whatever it is, it is fun to watch with no games being foregone conclusions. The league is in its best shape in history right now.

Roughly half way through the season, it look like the pre-season prognostications about the balance of power in the league were pretty close. Western teams occupy 4 of the top 5 slots in win percentage, while eastern teams have the bottom 3. All of which makes the "pod" system look even more ridiculous.

AIC's continued ability to knock off the western powers (wins vs. Air Force, RIT, and Mercyhurst) has been the biggest surprise so far.

Lamoureux's game-winner win .3 left on the clock last night has to be one of my all-time favorite plays. Jacques was camped out on top of the crease when a centering pass emerged from a scrum in the corner. The HC defenseman was in better position, but not as fast. Pearl coming unglued before the final whistle was pretty pathetic, though. Other than putting together some decent teams from time to time, he's pretty much a disgrace to the league.

There is a lot of parity, but I don't know if there are any really good teams in the league this year. There are several pretty good teams.

Well, he didn't act like it last night. Berating officials, storming around the ice like a petulant child, refusing to participate in the post-game handshake. You have to get pretty out of hand to get a a game misconduct on the bench, but he managed to pull it off. All because his team was outplayed, blew a lead and lost a heartbreaker. He needs to learn to take it like a man. An apology to all the Air Force fans who had to witness that charade wouldn't hurt either.

maybe AF should issue an apology on his behalf, like Army did on RIT's behalf last year...that went over well /sarcasm

I have no idea what happened as I wasn't there but maybe it was his way to get his team, who according to you was getting really outplayed, fired up and letting the kids know he wasn't giving up on the game/season. I don't know, just thinking. I have had many conversations with Paul when he visits Mercyhurst. He seems like a great guy. We all have embarrasing moments that we would like to take back. Paul is better than that one situation.
