ASU @ RPI, Sat, 12/12/15

Re: ASU @ RPI, Sat, 12/12/15

Of course. But following this program for as long as we have, we have seen coaches with varied philosophies. It most certainly takes some boys longer to adjust than others. And they come in with all different levels and types of talent. But every so often you get a couple of freshmen that are just so good and adjust so quickly, you sound a bit silly saying that we have to be led by the upperclassmen. I am sure you recall the RPI freshmen coming into Troy when we had that 1965-66 debacle. (And of course freshmen were not eligible for the varsity then) But how do you hold them back as sophomores when as freshmen they could beat the varsity?

I seem to recall that the group which entered in 1965 was held back a lot by academics.

Indeed they were. But could you imagine that sophomore class being held back on the ice for the sole purpose of the upper class men being the leaders?

According to WaP, we have the same players dressed as yesterday, but Hackett is in goal.

Wonder if the lines are the same? Good time to move a couple around for experimental purposes. Some of our forwards have a style that makes it difficult to find a good match for linemates.
