ASU @ RPI, 12/11/15 and 12/12/15

This has got to be the most important unimportant weekends in recent history. If we do anything other than win handily twice, we should be pretty concerned.

You know that's not going to happen. We always seem to find a way to play down to our competition. I hope I'm wrong this weekend.

We played down to Alabama Huntsville over the Christmas break in 10-11. However, we found a way to win. As former captain John Kennedy always said, "It doesn't matter how, only how many."

Re: ASU @ RPI, 12/11/15 and 12/12/15

I am really curious. Does anyone know why ASU got into D-I hockey? There are no schools in their area, no schools in their conference, and I don't know of any grass roots hockey uprising in Arizona. They seem to be on an island.
I welcome any school that wants to get into D-I hockey and hope they set the tone and bring hockey to the southwest. But I would think that they are expecting more schools in that area to join in.

Red Cloud's right on the $. Pac 12 tv network is looking for content... there is no hockey presence on the network this year, but let's see how ASU's arena and a home schedule begin to take shape. (ASU: being first matters. Great story on how they cultivated some major donors, or better yet, how major donors sold ASU on hockey.)

Well you better be ready to play because they are in most of their games, and you never know..they came close to beating Clarkson and did beat a couple of other teams....

As long as we can get out of this weekend without having any skate-meets-neck incidents, I'm fine with the results matching that trip.

They beat UA_, UA_ beat us, so if the transitive property that is used in the determination of PWR's common opponents is true, they should beat us.

But Clarkson beat ASU twice, and ties RPI - so RPI should win twice.

You're welcome
