Antiwork 2: No One Is Getting A Pay Raise

Yesterday, several PF members were forcibly logged out of their app with no explanation and couldn't log back in. Our front desk phones, which are VOIP, rang, but we couldn't answer them.

So, my company hit a big financial target in 2025, one they expect to hit till 2027 at the earliest. They want to celebrate. Doing an all-employee thing globally, digitally. But they want some celebrations in-office. Globally. I was given a budget that had to cover 19 locations in the US and a bunch of global locations. Then our global comms team said we had to add an additional 8 locations. We just gave them budget dollars but for the US locations, I was able to order some giveaways. Two offices are now complaining we aren't giving them enough, both in giveaways and money for food and beverage. We based the amounts on a percentage of peak badge swipes as a lot of these offices have people that only come in twice a month. If I make it through the date of this event without pulling out every hair on my head....

I thought the answer to this was Pizza...

Since it's a celebration, you can order from the local Mom & Pop place... ;)

That's happening. Yearly bonuses are announced after the previous year's financials are announced. That will happen the Friday before this event is supposed to happen. An early recommendation to celebrate that was run by senior leadership in the fall when we started planning this was an extra FTO day. But it got shot down.
 
I was walking into work and my boss drove up in his new Porsche.
"Nice car!"
"Thanks! Hey, you know if you work real hard and meet your goals I can get another one next year."
