Re: All Things Denver, XXX1X

Hey Vizaroo, when's the next home game? October 3 vs Windsor??
Today is April 4,,2015. There are 182 days (26 weeks) until DU's next game.

This is based upon 3 October 2015 for the start of next season.
And thank you Ralph BAER for keeping the calendar.

A somewhat arbitrary ranking of teams which are pretty good in my opinion only (and just for right now but maybe for a little longer too?)

1. BU
2. North Dakota
3. Providence
4. Nebraska-Omaha

5. Denver
6. Minnesota-Duluth
7. St. Cloud
8. RIT
9. Miami
10. Yale

He's back....
Our JZ underwent surgery and was initially diagnosed with a 12-week recovery period. However, he must have "Wolverine-like healing powers", because he was back in only eight.
The former Denver Pioneer was having a career year(48GP-18-5-23) before sustaining the injury and picked up where he left off against Chicago, scoring his 19th of the season, the game winner.

Boy I haven't seen anything official yet about Doremus, in the Denver paper....but, obviously I saw it online. I guess this is lull time for DU media coverage. You mention Scott Mayfield, aka the wrecking ball (as I remember him). That must of been a fun game. I wonder how Scotty is doing these days? Haven't kept tabs on him. He was a Pit Bull here. I bet his fighting skills have skyrocketed. He an Donovan are pegged for the Brooklyn Islanders, right?

Donovan for sure, I think? Mayfield, might be a career minor-leaguer. Good to see Loney have a great debut as well, he's got the pedigree.

Good to the lacrosse team, they are rolling, Baptiste continues on an amazing clip on the faceoffs, and Berg is on fie-ah. Team seems to be peaking at a good time, even though last couple of opponents haven't exactly been top flight.

Man, what can you say about the BU goalie, 2 huge gaffes in the Frozen Four. I feel bad for the guy.

And I also feel bad that we lost to the eventual NCAA champion. I'm not quite over LaLeggia's brain freeze yet...great player, great Pioneer, maybe our best defenseman since Matt Carle. But still bummed that he took that penalty and cost the team. I heard the whole thing about how he was just playing Pioneer hockey, but part of me wonders whether the scouts in attendance motivated him to make a physical play like that. I know...sacrilege to think that, but I can't help it. I guess there's always next year, but I thought we had the players for a good run this year. But Providence is the only happy team now. Congrats to them.

Re: All Things Denver, XXX1X

What a great season of DU Hockey. For giggles, I just sat down and figured out my beer tab all year, attending every game. That comes to $788 dollars... and that's not including my Wife's; or any food (sweetie loves those carmel roasted Pecans) ..... ****well over $1000 went into our stomachs, within the confines of Magness Arena

Impressive stats! I spent a good amount at the beer stand that has the Mama's Yella Pils in cans.
