So no need to play the games--call it good? Simple math can also turn into messy math. SCSU has a better than 10% chance to win the WCHA the way their playing. They have AA, State, Badgers and UNDies. Basing probabilities solely on schedule doesn't work for me. If Vegas gave that line I'd drop some money on the Cloudies in a heart beat.

They might well win the WCHA.

But history has not been kind to the Huskies in NCAA play, where they have never won an NCAA game.:eek:

Two days later Colborne scored the game winning goal in the first game against North Dakota.

Three days later Colborne scored the game winning game in the second game against North Dakota.

I'll be interested to see who wins the orange later this week in practice.

I thought Gifford played really well on Maiani & Ostrow's line on Saturday. So almost winning/losing the Lemon didn't hurt him. Amazing how surrounding a center with different players makes them look and skate differently.

Sure everybody noticed Vossberg was nominated for the Humanitarian Award for the 2nd time. He has won DU's Bob Martin Community Service Award twice so far.

Yeah, I just happened to see that. That's a very cool award to be even nominated for. Congrats to Vossberg for being in the hunt!

Leafs lead Devils late in 2nd 3-0 and Tyle Bozak has an assist on Phil Kessel's goal in the early part of the 2nd period.

According to Chuck Schwartz over in the Wisconsin recruiting thread Garrett Allen of the Fargo Force has committed to DU. Heisenberg has him as a 2011 recruit but doesn't have him committed yet. He is a center that was born in 1992 and is 5'11" 170 lbs. He has 15 goals and 13 assists for 28 points in 38 games this season. He is the 5th leading scorer on Fargo and is from Wisconsin. Supposedly Wisconsin, CC and Minnesota were also in pursuit of him.

Fargo Force Blog is the site that is reporting the comittment of Allen.

He is 5-time Olympic Gold Medalist speed skater Bonnie Blair's nephew.

After watching Coach Steve Miller's press conference yesterday, I'm almost certain Murray is going to start in goal.

The decision will be made on Thursday and the starting goaltender will be notified after practice on Thursday.

Murray has been working hard and learning from Chevy the concentration and preparation that is needed to be a successful goaltender.

I am here, I am here!! I have been bitten by the flu bug!!

By the way, I jumped on the thread about showing more hockey games on Direct TV rather than the endless stream of squeaky ball!! They responded fairly quickly and it wasn't an automatic response. The basic message was, I've been heard. Maybe if more people did it and threatened to switch to Dish network they would listen. I know we've been down this road before, but the lack of TV coverage for our beloved sport is maddening!!

I'm in favor of giving Murray the start on Friday. Hopefully the team understands the importance of playing extremely disciplined hockey in front of Murray until he gets into the flow of the game. The last thing Murray needs is another game where he lets in a couple goals on fewer than five shots.

We need a legit backup goalie so this train doesn't get derailed if Chevy gets hurt. If Murray plays very well and DU wins on Friday, I'd also consider giving Murray the start on Saturday, and then giving the reins back to Chevy for the rest of the season, except for maybe a game here and there.
