Bozak now +2 on the night as Kulemin scored late in the 2nd period and Kessel has two assists. Tyler also picked up a hooking penalty in the 1st period.

Sweet, that 4 points in 3 games so far and a period still to go tonight.

Maybe he will stay up this time with the big club. Nice to see him getting points.

Leafs win 4-0 and Bozak named #1 star of the game. He ends up with a goal and an assist with his goal being the game winner. Toskala #2 and Kessel #3 stars. Matt Carle was -1 for the night.

With the potential of 3 or 4 players gone, I was thinking they would keep the showcase format for the Denver Cup. Didn't think about changing the dates,
Wonder whether it will keep the showcase format.

My bro flew out here for the UVM series and flew back with UVM--he talked to their coach and he said DU opens the season at the Gut. Should be good time.

Re: All things Denver XXVI: From Boonetown to Motown

I agree that having a great setup man helps, but for Salazar not to score a single goal this year is brutally disappointing. His decreased output is one big reason why DU is a 3 GPG offense and not a 3.5 GPG offense.

I also hope Gwoz spends some time on getting the power play back in synch...

I agree and hard to explain the cause. Big two weekends coming up. Playing in front of big, big crowds. Our record against UW lately has been great--especially up there. Both UW and the UNDies will be hunger for PWR.

Re: All things Denver XXVI: From Boonetown to Motown

With DU off this weekend there are some other games being televised nationally tonight.

UND/MN on the Big 10 Network

BU/PC on NESN

Mich. St/ND on CBS College Sports

UAF/Mich. on FS Detroit+ and FCS Atlantic

Saturday Night

UND/MN FSN North and FCS Atlantic

Hello, NHL.

I can't imagine what that must feel like for a Canadian boy to pop a debut GW goal like that in wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs sweater, smack in the center of the hockey world.

And to make ESPN's Top Ten plays of the day--#3.

Re: All things Denver XXVI: From Boonetown to Motown

Everyone has a "rival."

Minnesota-Wisconsin
DU-CC
St. Cloud-UND
Mankato-UAA
Bemidji-UNO
Duluth-Tech

is it really DU-CC now?? my feelings and I believe the team feeling now is that ND is our rival now.
CC is just the in-state rival

Was a great goal, much like one he scored in the preseason. I liked how the announcers were talking about how Tyler's description of his first NHL goal being pretty and top shelf will be one of the few that is actually true.

Re: All things Denver XXVI: From Boonetown to Motown

For those that remember #7 Veideman; he has signed a deal with the Iserlohn Roosters in Germany!

Iserlohn - "Adrian has shown that he has worked hard, has a good fitness level, you can skate really well and can play a very good pass," says Uli Liebsch. The head coach of the Sauerland region has taken his new man this week, especially under the magnifying glass and, above all detailed discussions with him. "It is important to explain to him as quickly as possible, the basic details of our game so that he can adjust to our defensive work and the interplay with Andy Schneider as quickly as possible is working well. "I am very sure that with his abilities, the chance that he is significantly faster adapting to the big ice!"

In addition to discussions with Veidemane particularly focused on the defensive in the foreground of the last days of training: "We have obviously done extensive work with the mistakes of the past weekend," said Liebsch. Therefore, one has the error on the ice again and the team mimics offered solutions. "We need to improve, without the puck, make more pressure on the opponent and keep scheibenführenden especially what is happening in our back better in the eye," says the 43-year-old. Even the general training operation Liebsch has changed for the rest of the season. Instead, on Mondays, Tuesdays always has his team in the future freely. "We have the opportunity to rejuvenate the team otherwise permit," instead of only on the condition to work, the regeneration stand in the center.
