Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

Borgstrom skated this morning and is probable for the weekend.

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

Jaillet named NCHC Goalie of the week. Borgstrom's goal Saturday should make plays of the week.
Good piece by Mike Chambers on dominate Pios. plus dptv-http://www.denverpost.com/2017/02/12/denver-pioneers-hockey-dominant/

Speaking of Jaillett, with a GAA of 1.82, does anyone else wonder why he doesn't have a shutout ?

BTW Pios picked up 2 more 1st place votes in USCHO poll.

Interesting tidbit:
Mike Chambers ‏@MikeChambers Feb 12

In half as many games, Denver's NCAA hockey team on pace to finish with more wins than the city's NHL club

Thanks Viz!! I don't see any reason why we won't win the National Championship this year!! I don't see that we have any choice!!

Condors Unleashed tomorrow, Tuesday, from 2-3 p.m. Pacific features the best D turned LW in the league @joeylaleggia. Tune in on http://Bakersfield.com
Last year Leggs filled in as a forward when injuries struck. Now the change seems permanent. We know he can score and Considering his size, this could be the path to the NHL.

Re: ALL THINGS DENVER--XL--This one's for Old Pio

This weekend in Denver: Split. The series will look much like the last one, with SCSU holding on for dear life to gain a win against the clearly superior Pios, and then succumbing to the talent disparity one of the two games. It's been the Huskies' M.O. against top-ranked teams this year. And it'll make UND cry a little, not having SCSU slip in the PWR this weekend, so all the more incentive.

Regardless of the results, I'm expecting some fun hockey, just like last time they played.
