Alaska Anchorage at Alabama Huntsville: Time to party like it's 1992!

Re: Alaska Anchorage at Alabama Huntsville: Time to party like it's 1992!

Tomorrow night is a MUST WIN for UAA. Northern Michigan is only 2 points behind us, and we have 4 games in hand. After tomorrow we will have two games in hand over Lake Superior and Tech. And we only have two more home series. Come on UAA, show us what you are made of.

Kurt Haider said he had a hard time reading them as well. They didn't really look very camo to me, mainly black. BTW, you were still being heard when you referred to them as ... well, USCHO won't let me post what you said. ;)

The worst part was that not only were the numbers in camo, but they were small -- as in a size appropriate more for basketball jerseys. Couple in some of our players having a tendency to tuck their jerseys in the back and you have an announcer's nightmare.

Does the board still not lock us down when we pot the microphones down? That thing is a piece of crap, and I hate it.

Don't worry about it. The one and only thing I love about internet game feeds, is the slim possibility of hearing something I wasn't supposed to hear.

And did I by chance hear an "F" bomb during play in the 3rd period? If it was, THANK YOU!!!

America One leaves a lot to be desired
What a rip off
Could have bought 2 beers at The Crossbar instead of donating to this outfit
At least they didn't get a $45 month or $150 ??? season out of me...that would have really p...sd me off
Oh well Kurt on the play by play works and he's free....now that's a deal
It's a new day! And a great day to be a Seawolf!

Re: Alaska Anchorage at Alabama Huntsville: Time to party like it's 1992!

Every location is a little different on the American One feed. Some colleges do a better job than others. The first two games I tried watching UAA at home were bad. Couldn't even get a feed on the one game. You can always listen to Kurt on the radio (he is about a minute faster than the video feed - that way you can be ready to watch when a highlight comes up). They were pronouncing Kwas right than when he scored and the PA said his name wrong they decided to change. What a Hoot!

Re: Alaska Anchorage at Alabama Huntsville: Time to party like it's 1992!

I'll take 3 points on the road any day ... nice job Seawolves. Have a nice trip home ... see ya next weekend at the Sully!

Re: Alaska Anchorage at Alabama Huntsville: Time to party like it's 1992!

First road win. Like it. GFM, you sir are a very classy gentlemen. Hope you kick UA_ butt! Good luck rest of the season.

I was around during the independent days. :-)

That's more like it.
3 points on the weekend on the road was good.
SOG 44/19 was good.
Bailey and Kwas both getting 2 was good.
Got a little help from the hated nooks was good.
Long trip for the guys but all in all the weekend was good.
It's a new day! And it's a great day to be a Seawolf!

Serious question with the feed: were there more problems than just the outage we had late in the first and through most of 1st intermission and then the mic problems we had in the third? I mean, other than the fact that 1) I'm not a natural PBP guy by any means and have only done a handful of games this season, but let's not get into why in public and 2) we're running with a single camera. I'm not sure where the feed thing went wrong: everything on our end seemed to be going fine, so something must have happened in the tubes between here and there. I'm sorry that you missed the whole game, but I don't think that you missed much in terms of positive UAA play.

Y'all really carried the play tonight. I didn't know how true my words would be when I saw the game go 4x4 and thought, "Oh, this can't be good."

I should've never let our PA guy throw me off when I asked y'all what was right earlier in the week.

GFM <— hopes the he has the right to be disappointed in this loss and expects to be told so forthwith.

The only name you had wrong was Kwas, as far as I can recall. Again you did worlds better pronouncing the names than the Badger PBP guy and he does that all the time!

I was feeding my granddaughter dinner and missed the entire first period, so I can't speak to the issues you had there ... and I only recall one time where there was an issue with the microphone not being loud enough, but it was very short lived. I can't say I was disappointed in the broadcast ... much better than the Colorado College ones for sure!

Good luck to the Chargers the rest of the season ... I hope they take a point or two out of Fairbanks ... and they should be able to!

Re: Alaska Anchorage at Alabama Huntsville: Time to party like it's 1992!

I'll take "better than Colorado College" as a win, given that they've had a long time to build up a broadcast team.
