I can't imagine a company like DeWalt or Milwaukee would want to stake their reputation on something like that...

Its true, HD and Lowes sell so much stuff they can build drills just for them to hit a price point. Most of that stuff is boight by homeowners who won't wear it out anyway. Sometimes the model # is the same except for the last number or letter

, but I do know that my wife puts a crap ton of clothes in there, and the dryer works well enough where everything is dry after one time through.

Most new dryers have a moisture sensor so they run until the clothes are dry

We got a Kenmore high efficiency top-loader without agitator last year and I think it's great. It wasn't that expensive, either, and of course they are ubiquitous.
