Adrian playing a CSHL team tonight?

Re: Adrian playing a CSHL team tonight?

From the Adrian website, it's Michigan Warriors NAHL. I have absolutely no knowledge about ACHA rules here, so I don't know what counts and what doesn't. I'm originially a D-1 guy that wandered over here once Adrian started their varsity program.

So your guy didn't dress? Do I read that properly?

Correct he said the 1st line didnt dress. Im sure both teams are still figuring out their lineups so it makes sense. But when a team gets thumped the excuses start to come out too.
Im from MI, wish Adrian had a program when I played.

Im very curious to hear how Adrian does tonight against a NAHL team

While it will be a much better test than the CSHL team they played, keep in mind the NAHL team they are playing is an brand new expansion franchise. It won't hold nearly the weight as compared to them playing say a Bismarck, St. Louis or Topeka in my eyes.

They're actually the old Marquette Rangers. Haven't looked at the roster or anything, so I don't know how many of the old Rangers are on the team, but I do know that it's not an expansion team.

Re: Adrian playing a CSHL team tonight?

It was my understanding that Marquette folded. My bad.

I assume it's the same situation as North Iowa relocating to LaCrosse, WI and re-branding the organization?

Basically.

Marquette was bleeding money. Rumor has it that their owner had sucked it up the last couple of years because his kid was on the team.

There IS a new team in Port Huron, however....

Re: Adrian playing a CSHL team tonight?

as per ACHA any game with refs has to be counted.
Scrimmages can count towards rankings if you lose to a team you should beat. Ive seen teams get burned by this.

Funny you say that, since Siena has a game on heir schedule that isn't going to count ;)

Okay, so it's in the week prior to regionals, after the final rankings are published, and it's a 3rd game against a conference opponent for a rivalry cup... but it's still a game with refs that will mean absolutely nothing in the rankings :D :D
