Acadia @ RPI 10/6/11

Re: 2-1 rpi

Re: 2-1 rpi

matching penalties RPI penalty number 4 and Acadia penalty number 3 (some rough stuff came out of nowhere)

Re: Acadia @ RPI 10/6/11

i just cannot understand why this rough stuff is starting-this has not been a physical game at all up to now.

Re: 3-2 rpi

End of the second period and RPI up 3-2. I give this period another C+. Much like the first period but Diebold made quite a save to keep one out and we did show we can stand up to physical play. Defense has been a tad disappointing as Acadia is getting behind them and creating some chances. Expected that we are not all quite on the same page this early but encouraged by some show of offense.

But remember last year's game. I can't be too enthused. In am happy that JL scored and had othrr chances, as he seemed to be in a funk for most of last season.

l wonder how Kasdorf will look in the third.

I have mixed emotions so far tonight. We seem to be a lot like last year. But the puck movement seems a bit better. Goal tending seems like it will be a battle for who gets the nod each night. I am just a bit disappointed in the defense. Acadia seems to be getting too many opportunities and some of them a bit uncontested. Perhaps with this being an exhibition there is some holding back on the hitting by our guys. Let's see how we play the third period-more of the same or do we show a little more energy?
