Re: Acadia @ RPI 10/1/11

Dr. D, is it possible, after all these years, that we finally have a team that can stand prosperity? ;)

Re: Acadia @ RPI 10/1/11

The Good: Everything!! Very hard not to have a lot of good when you win 7-0. The freshmen scored. The defense pitched a shutout. The goalie pitched a shutout. Everyone seemed to contribute. Lots of offense and a great confidence builder.
The Bad-Perhaps a minor injury to Haggerty. Hard to figure how good Acadia is as a club and whether this was any sort of test for RPI.

But how often have we had to say RPI 7 anybody 0 in the past few years????

Quite often. ...if you're watching the football team.

G0D-I hope so. I have been waiting a long time. I have seen a lot of RPI teams and many had promise-but there is something about this group that is just starting to look and sound special. This is a good freshman group of recruits coming into a team with some experience. This is just looking like a fun year.

Great start to the season, I just wish I had an idea about how good Acadia is.
The freshmen looked great including Deibold who got a shut out that don't count.
I will be at the field house on Friday night to find out what we can do against US college team.

As a final score? Even our football team rarely holds a team to zero. If you look back to when i was at the tute in the early to mid 60's though you will find a whole lot of football games where we had zero!

Good point. Maybe the baseball team. I thought you were talking about 7-0 in general.
