Props to you, melmac. I've been in your situation. I was doing a bunch of part-time jobs (Santa, working at a bakery, the Census, and getting hours at a radio station where I do the news and board op for Syracuse sports games.) I finally got my break in January where I work at the sports desk of a newspaper. SLU and Clarkson fans probably know which one I refer to.

It's a great feeling to contribute to the household.
Anyways, I have good news on my daughter's situation. My fiance's ex did file for custody due to the medication issue. The judge told him to go to the next appointment and the doctor laid the law down on him. My daughter's lawyer (in New York, the child has a lawyer as well) also told him flat out that the meds are working. He decided to back off and is actually letting us have Hailey every third weekend of the month so she can go to the birthday parties of the kids in her class that she was missing because she had to go to her father's.
She has been doing really well at school and the last report card showed it. She likes going to school now and wants to show me all her projects. Thanks for all of the kind words, advice and prayers you have given me. You don't know how much it means to my family and me.
