Anyone else who is going to Phoenix for the games actually get their ticket? Because I have not.

KKKKKEEEEEEERRRRROOOOOO! on the ice for the Blackhawks, looking great in red tonight. First shift on the ice causes a turnover that leads to the first Chicago goal! The game is on NBCSN if you get that channel. The announcers can't stop talking about Parayko out of Alaska last season and all he did was cough up the puck that leads to the second 'Hawks goal. Pierre better have at least a half dozen factoids for the former WCHA player of the year from Michigan Tech. And to wrap up the game, confirmation that NHL overtime is not real hockey.

The second Blues goal he was on the ice for he just looked out of place. Other than that he looked good.

I like Tech, but y'all're dead to me for the next 30 hours. :)

Less than 2 minutes in and losing, this team is just not that good.

Well tied up, holy cow is the UAH announcer TERRIBLE, video quality is definitely better than Tech's though.

I second all of this, I somehow remembered my 4 year old login to say this.

I'm listening to Dirk even though it's 20 seconds behind the video, just couldn't listen to the UAH announcer any longer

What the hell Phillips? Channeling his inner Rob Nolan.

This officiating is horrendous too, so many people kicked out of the faceoff and so many false starts as well as all the slashing calls, it's really really bad, but at least it's equally as bad both ways.

Why not start a game thread for UAH series?

What a brutal broadcast by UAH, boring announcer that couldn't keep track of names or what was happening. I don't think he ever said who scored Tech's last goal because he didn't know. Same for the camera guy, the puck was off the screen all the time. Would've liked to see that long long goal on Jamie, but the camera guy didn't catch any of it.

Mel's postgame with Dirk:
We have to play better, manage the puck, not sure we can stress it more, but need urgency
That long goal they scored could be devastation, but hung in there
PK good
PP good on 1st 4, but were tired in 3rd and slowed things down
Told team we played great last Sat for L, not so tonight, got a W
Can not rely on big saves by Jamie,, like UAH breakaway saves
Need everyone have best game together, some got better and soem got worse as game went on
Lucchini trying to beat some guys 1 on 1, he's not going to being new players, have to pick your times
We need to play a smarter game, move the puck, eliminate some mistakes
Boeing/Davis are the extras, think there will be changes tomorrow
Too many penalties, not saving goal, slashing in neutral or offensive zone

Re: 95th Season of Hockey- Michigan Tech Huskies 2015-2016 - Thread #1

Definitely somewhat of a harsh postgame from Mel, especially on Lucchini, but everything he said is everything I've been seeing too, this team has too much talent to not be competing for the league championship and NCAA appearance.

I thought the guy was great. Tried real hard and made every effort to give a good account of the game.
I loved when he said Gould couldn't find anything useful to do with the puck.

Definitely need to tighten things up. Not playing as a team. Too much individualism. That will come. (We are only a month into the season). Glad to see we are tied for fist place with two league games in hand over Minnesota State.

MSU has the 2 games in hand...
