There's a MTU poster, I can't remember who, that has experience with private charter flights. If you're out there can you drop me an email brandon [a/t] dark-clouds.com?

I don't claim to know anywhere near as much about Tech hockey as you do but I am really surprised to see you placing Lesperance as questionable or extra? I thought he was one of our better players down the stretch. 17 points in 29 games is pretty respectable and 15 of those points were after Christmas. I think if making up for lost offense is important he has to play a key roll this year. Unless of course you think the 4 freshman you list are going to jump right in and put up big numbers. Again, I don't know enough about them to make that assumption. I'm really excited if they are as good as you are giving them credit for being.

Totally agree. He was one of their best players down the stretch and in the post season. I have to wonder if he doesn’t practice well?.....he floats sometimes and needs to stay on the defensive side of the puck. Offensively he's really strong with a great shot, but he seems to fall out of favor with the coaches faster than most.

Actual lines tonight:
Heinonen-Neville-Petan
Baltus-Lucchini-Gould
Boeing-Eick-Sturos
Gillies-Blacklock-L'Esperance

Hanna-Roy
Auk-Leibinger
Watson-Birks

Phillips
Wintjes

Looks like you guys were right about L'Esperance and I should have had it that way from the beginning.

You were pretty close to being spot on. I'm sure it will be stiff competition for playing time on that 4th line this year. Steman must be hurt because I would think he's an automatic every weekend.

Completely agree on Steman.

Heinonen and Baltus 1:03 apart.
2-0 lead mid-way through the 1st.

Phillips huge to start the game and get the guys settled down.

MTU 4-0 FSU after 40.

Heinonen PPG, Baltus, Eick, Petan PPG

Almost seems surgical and workmanlike all at the same time.

Anyone else having problems with WCHA.TV tonight? First period was fine, but it has been an unwatchable, buffering, studdering hot mess since about middle of the 2nd period.

Yep - stuttering, buffering the whole time … bumped from site and unable to log back in … not happy

Real solid win for Huskies tonight.
3/6 on PP, 100% PK.
3 assists from Boeing, 2 PPG from Petan, strong net minding from Phillips.
Solid effort all over the ice.

It has been stuttering flashing, black screen. Maybe its a Colorado problem:confused:

Any word on the status of L'Esperance after he got run by that POS goon?

He was held out for the rest of the game but did stand on the bench in full gear. I'd expect he will sit on Saturday and Jake Jackson will be in the lineup.

Waiting for the WCHA to announce supplemental discipline on Anselmini for the hit. It was clearly after the whistle as L'Esperance was already past the post and the whistle had gone a full second prior. Absolutely should have been a DQ on the spot, the referees lost that when he turtled and feigned his own injury after the cheap shot. If there is any review at all he will be suspended for the rematch.

Tech to play in the icebreaker in Duluth according to ken Schott of the Albany gazette
Vs Union

Made it to my first game since 2012. The crowd is 20% Tech fans and includes members of Mel's family and (most likely) Jamie Phillips' dad.

Also, our team looks very discombobulated.

I wasn't there and I only got to listen to the third period last night, but it seems we have some work to do. I get that Ferris is tough at home though and I think it's the first time this year the opponent pressured the puck so much. Let's just hope we learn from this. You have to come ready to play every night and every period.

I'll take a road split to start the league schedule and be fine with it. Plenty to work on.
