Good period by the Bulldogs. ICS live stats showed sog 20-4 Yale......
with 2:42 to go in 2nd. 33-16 SOG overall.

Cornell crashes the net on a 3-on-2 and nearly cashes in, but Blase keeps the puck from crossing the line.

Sean Backman continues to be a thorn in Cornell's (and everyone else's) side: Yale wins in OT 2-1.

Yale 2----- Cornell 1. Sean Backman from O'Neill and Martin.
SOG were 54-20. A STATEMENT game; interesting to hear the Cornell
announcers explain how the game was sooooo close. THAT aside, they
really DO call a terrific game.

The SOG were padded a bit. I believe 49-20 was a more accurate tally.

They also don't tell the story of the game. Yale was certainly the better team and controlled play for all of the 2nd, the last part of third, and all of overtime, but it wasn't close to domination as the SOG would indicate.

Congrats on the win and we look forward to getting another crack at you guys in Albany.
