50th GLI of 2014, Huskies, Wolverines, Spartans, and Bulldogs oh my!

Re: 50th GLI of 2014, Huskies, Wolverines, Spartans, and Bulldogs oh my!

If Michigan puts together enough wins to salvage their season and get back in contention for the tournament, could Tech having a winning record (swept MI earlier) against a team that beat one of the nation's best in the GLI help them in the PWR? Tech might have helped their own cause by losing yesterday, tourney-wise. :)
Although with Berenson snd co floundering the way the have for the last several years and being badly outplayed even in their few wins, it seems unlikely that Michigan will find a way to win more than 4 or 5 the rest of the way. You can't get lucky every night.

Instead of trolling, maybe you should worry about your own program...? Considering that it hasn't sniffed the NCAA's in how many decades?

I think michigan is a class organization and a class group of guys. I don't think they are doing all that badly, and I do think they will be very tough from here on. I'm not sure how good Racine is though and I think goaltending is a question mark.

I know, I know... I was just seeing if I could get "UMICH" to go (further) off the rails. He's always so cheerful and uplifting. :D
Good luck the rest of the way to the 2014 GLI Champs.

Thought we might see Blacklock, instead

In
Vallis
L'Esperance
Baltus
Hyland

Out
Heinonen
Sturos
Gillies
Roy

Pietila played on the Wing, could this continue to get E. Anderson and Blacklock in the lineup.

Hey geezer,

I'm up for playing in the USCHO Fantasy Baseball league. I never knew it existed before but I'll play.

With the defense we have, the goaltending is the question. both Racine and Nagelvoort have had great moments and weekends. But so far neither have put it together for a long time.

We will see.

But it would be very cool to see Tech in Boston. I know my dad would go nuts.

It would be great, and I'll be there, but to do that we have to be putting together complete games where we focus the whole game. We do that very rarely.

It's great fun. I've done it 3 times, and came close this year to going 3-for-3 mostly by blind luck and Miggy's stick. Lost narrowly in the semifinal. I'm not sure who runs it but you'll see a thread for it in the spring with 12-16 players signing up.

UM sure put on a good show this weekend.

Red Berenson alluded to it himself - his team was probably the worst of the four in the tournament, but ended up winning it anyway. Maybe it's the lovely parting gift for him in his last appearance...?

I'm not here all of the time, but I'll try to monitor it in the spring. In case I don't make it back can I give you my Yahoo ID so I can be added? I'm assuming that it is a Yahoo league.

When Berenson departs, does Mel depart as well? I sure hope not...Could/would Mel do that to us??

I don't think so, and Coach Berenson has one more year left on his contract. Personally I won't complain if Mel comes back but I don't expect it. Michigan is an elite job but Mel is doing well coaching at his Alma Mater. Perhaps if Tech wasn't doing well but Tech is playing better than they have in decades.
