3/25 Point me to the Genny & You Light up my Knight

Re: 3/25 Point me to the Genny & You Light up my Knight

Ok. Breathe. In no particular order.

A tip of the hat to UMB. Came out strong. Came back strong. Clearly a very good team.

SNC showed something. Didn't panic. Worked their way back. Dominated the second period. Didn't panic after the comeback and settled down - limiting chances after that.

Yes, cliche, but falls into the 'a shame someone had to lose' category.

SNC beat Point but that was a loooong time ago. And the Pointers are clearly clicking. And better rested. I hope SNC has something left in the tank.

And, SNC's goalie issue continues. While both good, neither just takes the reigns and makes it their job. I would guess Black gets the nod tomorrow - but I wouldn't have expected Kujava to give up two so quickly. But Black is just a guess.

That was one of the most unbelievable games I've seen in a long time. Several things I wouldn't have believed had I not seen them myself. SNC will be kicking themselves if running out of gas tomorrow costs them a title.

I'm obviously glad SNC won but I'm also glad the win came on a legit goal. I was just waiting for some strange bounce off a defenseman's back to be the one.

Congrats to all the teams that made it to the semi's.

Though I am a Norwich fan, I was rooting for UMB because they have made an incredible transformation over the past few years and play a great game of hockey. They never give up as seen by last nights game against SNC. I don't think anyone expected them to take SNC to double OT, let alone score 7 goals on them,3 in the first and 4 unanswered goals in the third. UMB had some very interesting shots on goal with pretty stick handling and incredible passes. I thought they out played SNC in the first period and the first OT. Very proud of them!

With the double OT again with SNC, reminds me of the Norwich OT win in 2010 (hope the year is right). I actually spoke with Pierre Oliver Cotnior after the 2010 win and he said the team was playing on gas fumes and he was glad there wasn't a game to play the next day. Hope SNC can recover before the 7 PM start tonight.

No OT record yet this year, but this was one of the best games played in the semi's in a long, long, time.

Plenty of fans dressed as red seats for the night cap too
man I just dont know, but the bigger ice and little fans in the seats,is there a better way?? I know the on campus thing has been discussed b4,but gotta be a better way,i know the smokie room/NCAAS have the say but:confused:....I just remember as a player walking into The Ronald B 3 hrs b4 the championship game back in 87 and there was what seemed like 3/4 thousand in the seats already ...just sayin:confused:....p.s i know that D1 is also having attendance problems as well.

Get one or two of the NOP schools (Norwich, Plattsburgn, Oswego) in the FF and you get a crowded building. Get lesser known schools from far away or schools that are not rabid about their hockey programs, and you get 2,300.

D1 needs to get back to campus sites for the early round(s) like they did prior to 1992. Yes, the favorites inevitably advance, but 2 or 3 games in a 5,000 (or more) seat building (x 8) beat 12 games of under 3K crowds in large buildings.
