I've been saying for a long *** time I don't believe stadiums are a net positive given how much we pay for them and how much we don't get a cut from the profits.

Economists that aren't paid by the leagues/teams looking for new stadiums have been saying the same thing for a long, long time now. I first read a paper on it back in 1998, and it was a relatively old paper at that time. Stadiums were much cheaper back then, too.

It's team owners using fan pressure and bribery of public officials to get the public to cover their private costs.

Sometimes a scam is just a scam.

Lindsey Graham says this is a horrible deal. Arms race has stared in the Middle East today and Sunni nations are after the nuke.

If Lindsey Graham is against it, all the more reason to support it! After his stellar predictions on Iraq over the years, lets just say the man's credibility on foreign policy issues is a bit lacking...

Paywall, but given what D'Souza has written over his career, it sounds like a wise move.

BTW, if you google "D'Souza psych couseling" the hits are the Murderers Row of whackadoodle sites: WND, InfoWars, freep, etc... This is the kind of thing those guys will take and run with the glee of an alcoholic in a brewery.
