2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

Republicans intended to get WMDs out of Iraq (they didn't) just as Democrats intend to reduce healthcare costs (they won't). Good intentions, bad results. Two perfect examples of "to err is human, to really f things up requires a bureaucracy."

You're equating the War in Iraq with Obamacare? Man, collect your Tea Party Street Cred right now and run for office.

Here's a nice list of Paul Ryan's wins for the recent spending bill.

Republicans did win some victories. The financial regulators, including the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission, received far less money than they need to do their jobs rigorously, and there was an unnecessary cut to a fund for disease prevention and public health. There will not be enough money for the United States to fulfill its pledges to the International Monetary Fund. One terrible environmental rider was included, a gift to the coal industry that allows continued dumping of toxic coal-mining waste in streams. Also included is the ridiculous provision that prevents enforcement of new light-bulb standards, a triumph for those who consider incandescent lights a symbol of freedom.

I'm totally chill. I'm so used to the Faux News followers' perpetuation the right's made up reality that the vast majority of times I just let it go and ignore it.

WMD's were not part of the "Iraq situation." They were part of the case for war with Iraq.

There's a big difference in the meaning of those two things.

That's my issue with your "view" of things.
I wasn't expressing a "view" on WMDs if that possibility can enter your brain. I was simply acknowledging that they were part of the situation, which they certainly were. Your parsing between "situation" and "case" just shows how petty you are being.

Again, the playbook.

Use a definitive term and then backtrack when pressed on it or claim that it wasn't meant that way and accuse that someone is taking it too literally or out of context.

As your boy Bill-O would say, "I'll give you the last word..."

I love how people who provide negative rep almost always do so anonymously.

Welcome to Ignore is my last word to you. I've wasted far too many words on you already.

Ah, that cleans up this thread quite a bit.

I almost never neg.

Check your rep. Wasn't me.

Wait. I'm on ignore so you can't see this.

But I can still see you! :D:p

You probably can't see this as I'm sure I've earned a coveted position on your ignore list, but I gotta say, for all the time you spend on here, if you're too effing cheap to contribute the $15 for Extra to see who's repping you, you don't deserve to know. Damm, talk about a run-on sentence.

Naw, you aren't on my ignore list. Remember, we actually agree on things here and there. If Gurth agreed with me on something, he'd never admit it, as he enjoys bickering too much.

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

You mean like the anonymous negative rep you gave me on Jan 7 at 12:59 p.m?
Normally I always sign my reps. If I forgot that time, my bad. Not that I change my mind on it.

What's that smell? It's like someone left some bread in the toaster too long. Oh, it's Bob...he just got burned.

Hey, I own up when I make a mistake. Can't say that for most of the folks around here.

I don't care about the neg reps, Bob--I deserve my share. But pull yourself out of the passive/aggressive cycle long enough to collect your wits and put forth a position you can both articulate and defend.

You mean how I discussed that I thought Iraq was always a mistake, given the history of the region, etc., and then Gurth goes bonkers on me for something I didn't even say?

You have no idea whether healthcare costs will go down or not. My healthcare costs went down by a third. You are half right...the GOP didn't find WMDs.

Re: 2nd Term Part VII: You May Like Your Doctor But You Can't Keep Her

Obama's redistribution of wealth is proceeding on course it appears.

Great, where's mine then? My costs stayed the same, yet I'm paying more taxes than most conservative whiners out here! :D
