It's good to see that they are going to address America's substantive issues now that they have both chambers.

But somebody needs to figure out the limits of executive power otherwise we really could end up with an emperor/dictator. Sooner is way better than later.

Funny. When liberals tried to question executive power we were told it was treasonous and we hated America. CJ Roberts and Alito (and maybe Thomas and Scalia) are on board with the whole "unitary executive" idea so we don't even need a Congress.
Equally as funny is how those same liberals don't question the issue now. Hypocrisy runs rampant in both parties.

To be fair, back in 2002, anyone who didn't have a dollar store, "Made in China" American flag flying from their car window was automatically given the hairy eyeball in some parts of the country.
Good to see all of those concerned liberals backed up their principles with their vote. Oh wait....Except for the part where many of "those same liberals" ARE questioning it...
Agree about hypocrisy, but the Dems have been taking the silver in it for at least 30 years.
"Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others."
Just wait until another (R) grabs the WH. Then it will be all about our sacred duty to come together AND SUPPORT OUR PRESIDENT!!!!111!!
Conservative "principles" wax and wane with their electoral advantage. SSDD.
Not from this poster. An EO on a Turkey Day proclamation is fine. An EO saying that I think the law says this and that is the way it is is bad.
I agree with your earlier post. Congress needs to act as one of the equal tripods of this Republic. They've been buck passing for way too long.
But the Regs that I was involved with that eventually got published in the Federal Register (oh! is that a laborious process!) were to implement existing legislation, not change it.You realize the Code of Federal Regulations is essentially a bunch of executive orders made by agencies saying this is how we interpret the law, right? They just come from agencies instead of the president. And they get used just as often in court as the U.S. code itself.

Some Agency may have broken new ground and pulled something out of deep left field, but not my Agency.
