Me too. I believe I may have said as much to DMK. She hasn't looked at me like that since I admitted I'd do the same with Megyn Kelly. The heart wants what it wants.

I don't think that's your heart.

Any time I'm dismayed by our threads, I need look no further than everybody else's threads.

There's a reason most of the US majors have disabled Comments on their political articles. :(

As to the news, as long as the inspections are legit, I'm in.

If the Senate ****s this up, I won't vote R for a decade. Maybe more.

There is no treaty - yet. There is a framework for a treaty. Or is it a framework for an agreement for a treaty?

If John Kerry holds up a piece of paper containing the framework, shoot him.

So lets see what the treaty holds before we castigate the Senate. Assuming there will be a treaty.

Now Flaggy's conducting international diplomacy from his mom's basement!

Re: 2nd Term Part IX - How Lame is my Duck

Peace has to be mutual. Iran has shown they don't want peace. Therefore why should we give it to them?

And you know this how?

Iran really wants the sanctions lifted. That gives us leverage to affect their policies. Iran getting nukes would be destabilizing, not so much because of Iran, but because of the chain reaction it would set up with other regional powers pursuing nukes. Imagine the Saudis with nukes -- talk about a nightmare.

Iran's going to be a regional power, something that may not be such a bad thing with Sunni radical armies to the west, crazy Ivan to the north, and Pakistan to the east. They're the keystone of a very troubled region and we are going to need to deal with them. Much like China, we don't have to love each other, but we do need to work together.

You really are naïve. If someone seeks a nuke, they intend to use it.
