2nd Term Part IX - How Lame is my Duck

Re: 2nd Term Part IX - How Lame is my Duck

Kinda like when the GOP screamed the IRS was holding conservative groups to higher scrutiny, then buried their own study when it showed liberal groups were targeted more often?

For a guy so quick to believe the gubmint is lying, you sure are gullible about your own side's lies. :p

Doesn't mean that they weren't. Funny thing is, they still talk about it, so the study isn't exactly buried.

One thing to remember about an oppressive state: If they're talking about oppression, even if they're trying to put lipstick on said pig, it's probably true. Always believe they're going to punish you. Never believe they're going to help you.

You know, Bob, if you'd quit mentioning the incident in the first place, perhaps unofan wouldn't feel compelled to "stalk" you?

Bingo. There's no point of letting things fester. Sure, I lambasted a poster for bringing my girl into an argument, but once it was spoken, I considered it to be over with, and am ready to move to the next topic.

Actually I hadn't mentioned the incident in a long time, I just note unofan following me around, and he keeps bringing it up as if nothing happened, so I finally decided to say something again. If you can show anywhere in recent memory where I talk about it, I will stand corrected. I don't believe you will. But mentioning how unofan follows me around from threat to thread is fair game as long as he keeps doing it.

Here's one thing I don't get about you. On the one hand, you seem to (perfectly reasonably) discern the state system, politically and economically, is a (barely) disguised form of plutocracy, where a moneyed elite get their way all the time and puts on the political puppet show to keep the proles divided and deflected. On the other hand, you think the state somehow is biased against conservative forces which defend that very plutocratic elite. First of all, that's logically inconsistent. But secondly, if it's a puppet show then both sides are puppets, and you're just falling into the Overlords' trap by continuing to beat up one side in the name of the other.

Re: 2nd Term Part IX - How Lame is my Duck

There is nothing to get...it is one of two things. Either:

A) Its a bit (most likely)

or

B) He truly believes this stuff and he, like the NWO, is just always keeping you guessing! Remember, the best part of a conspiracy is that anything can be true because any facts otherwise are just lies. I mean you can believe 2+2=4 but the truth is you only think that cause THEY WANT you to think of it! ;)

Just because you think they're all out to get you doesn't mean they aren't! ;)

You're only saying that to throw us off the track. We all know that 2 + 2 = 3.9999999999999999999999999999999999...

Here's one thing you must remember when it comes to me: Never make inferences or assumptions about what I'm thinking.

Just because liberal groups were targeted by the IRS doesn't mean conservatives weren't. As for talking about it, I'll still peek in at what Tea Party Patriots are talking about (mostly just a catch phrase followed by "give us money", usually goes into the circular file, but as always, intelligence about other factions is important), and they still talk about it.

I'm well aware that both sides are puppets in the same puppet show. On this forum, you don't have to go far to hear about how one side is a puppet. Whining about an overlord's trap from the left is the pot calling the kettle black. Why do I expose a different side more often than not? To expose the other puppet. The work on the first puppet has already been done; there's no sense in regurgitating it. Assuming you learned how to put 2 and 2 together at that ivy league institution, you can draw the conclusion that both sides are puppets, which it seems that you have.

I'm shocked he hadn't already.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised of some of these talk show hosts are simply sell-outs, and when the government comes knocking, they flip sides as if brainwashed in order to save their skin.
"Convert now. Repent later."

Obama just floated the concept of mandatory voting. Actually never heard of that one before. The GOP should be ecstatic...no more double voting.

But if I am registered in 2 different districts, I would have 2 votes!?

He might as well mandate that we eat broccoli every day.

Re: 2nd Term Part IX - How Lame is my Duck

Mandatory voting federally operated and state monitored. Eliminate current state shenanigans. Done.

Secret ballot would be gone, as you would have to track if the person actually put a ballot in the box. Government could then prosecute based on how you voted. Actually happened in a small town in Missouri: Populace voted to disband a corrupt police department, and everyone who voted that way is getting sued. Civil could easily become criminal.

Fascist jerks with their ideas of forcing the populace to do things.

That's a risk today, not tied to mandatory voting...and not unsolvable.

This is true that it is a risk today, however the possibilities for solving it would be eliminated through means of mandatory voting, because you cannot enforce this without knowing whether or not the person actually put the ballot in the box.

Also, let's consider one other thing that would be included in said mandate in order to eliminate fraud: voter IDs. Probably would happen if this ludicrous idea were to go through and a compromise chip needed to be had. If you were to institute a voter ID system, and it's almost guaranteed that the IDs would need to be checked electronically, all you would need to do is put some sort of mark of the electronic profile of the ID to prohibit someone who might be against "the agenda" from voting, and you've successfully rigged the election.
