The headline: Glenn Beck sees media conspiracy to label him a ‘conspiracy theorist’

Conspiracy talk radio host Glenn Beck said Tuesday that he isn’t sure why he’s been labeled a conspiracy theorist in the media, but he’s pretty sure it’s the result of a “concentrated effort” somehow coordinated by the White House.

:D Guy cracks me up. I don't know why I've been labeled a conspiracy theorist...but I'm pretty sure it's the result of a conspiracy. :D

Any time you don't recite the propaganda machine by rote, libtards label them as conspiracy theorists. If you want progress, there must be doubt of something.

RI Governor Lincoln Chaffee (I) is reportedly switching to (D).

News?

Beck...a well oiled wing nut job propaganda machine in his own right. Progress is probably dependent on some discerning what to doubt and what to believe. I'm not entirely sure I buy a doubt requirement for progress. Maybe just an ear for lunacy and hucksterism. I've experienced my share of doubt when I've listened to Beck ramble indeed.

Quick, look up at the sky and tell us how many black helicopters are circling around. :D

Beck doesn't even believe half of what he says. He was a joint-rolling, drunken, flaming liberal disc jockey for most of the 80s, then sobered up and figured out there was a lot of money in over-the-top conservative talk shows. :D The rest, as they say, is history.

WHAT?!? You're telling me Beck is just doing this for the money? Next thing you know you'll be telling me I shouldn't be taking marital advice from Rush Limbaugh just because he was on his 4th marriage by age 60.

The infatuation with Michele Bachmann's announcement today shows just how pathetic the political process can be. The right does it too with certain people but it just amazes me how overly excited people can be, especially those she doesn't even represent about this announcement.

I believe Priceless answered your question so nothing more needs to be said. I'm curious if you'll revise your stance now that you've been made aware of left leaning groups being targeted too

90 conservative groups versus 3 liberal. You're right, what was I thinking? There is clearly no bias there.

I heard he raped and murdered a woman in 1990.

Give Beck credit - every afternoon in the late 90s, he tuned into Rush Limbaugh and learned at the feet of the master. Rush was the original king of campy poutrage, paper-rustling, and grandstanding, years before the likes of Glenn Beck and Keith Olbermann ever got in front of a TV camera and laid on their bespectacled professorial schtick from opposite sides of the fence.

Nobody's saying we shouldn't be investigating this. By all means find out who did what for what reason. I don't think Congress is the proper venue to do the work because 1) that can't help but get politicized, and 2) by and large they're mostly idiots. You may want to wait until all the fact come out before jumping to conclusions as the Benghazi thing has already blown up in Issa's face now that he's forced to hold private hearing with people who's testimony will paint him as a grandstanding weasel. I recall back during the Clinton era Orrin Hatch wanting to launch a special prosecutor over a so called "enemies list" that the WH was keeping, and it turned out it was a Christmas Card list. Not to be deterred, when called on this by Ted Koppel on Nightline the old Knuckledragger simply said "that's why we need to investigate these things".

Civil War II: Electric Boogaloo

Thousands of people signed up to attend an armed march on Washington over the course of the last month. But now, the leader of the march is setting his sights much higher than a single demonstration — he wants his armed followers to help overthrow the American government. About a month ago, a gun activist named Adam Kokesh called for thousands of people to join him in an armed march on Washington, D.C. to “put the government on notice that we will not be intimidated & cower in submission to tyranny.” As of this writing, nearly 5,200 people have RSVPed for Kokesh’s armed march.

Late last week, however, Kokesh decided to abandon this march in favor of a much larger effort to bring down the entire federal government. In a statement written from a jail cell in Philadelphia (Kokesh faced charges for allegedly resisting arrest during a pro-marijuana rally. He now says he’s been released), the gun activist called for his supporters to form a secessionist “army”:

A new American revolution is long overdue. This revolution has been brewing in the hearts and minds of the people for many years, but this Independence Day, it shall take a new form as the American Revolutionary Army will march on each state capital to demand that the governors of these 50 states immediately initiate the process of an orderly dissolution of the federal government through secession and reclamation of federally held property. Should one whole year from this July 4th pass while the crimes of this government are allowed to continue, we may have passed the point at which non-violent revolution becomes impossible.

The time to sit idly by has passed. To remain neutral is to be complicit, just doing your job is not an excuse, and the line in the sand has been drawn between the people, and the criminals in Washington, D.C. While some timid souls will say that it is too early, that we can solve this problem through democratic means provided by government, that current levels of taxation are reasonable for the services provided, and that the crimes of this government are merely a tolerable nuisance, it may already be too late.
To be sure, it is likely that only a small minority of Americans will rally to a cry to march upon their state capitols and demand that the United States cease to exist. But Kokesh’s call is troubling for the simple reason that he was capable of convincing over 5,000 people to sign up for an armed march on Washington, D.C. It does not take much imagination to figure out what could go wrong if just a few dozen armed and angry secessionists show up at state capitols throughout the country.

I could be wrong, but that sounds like sedition to me.

The crime of seditious conspiracy is committed when two or more persons in any state or U.S. territory conspire to levy war against the U.S. government. A person commits the crime of advocating the violent overthrow of the federal government when she willfully advocates or teaches the overthrow of the government by force, publishes material that advocates the overthrow of the government by force, or organizes persons to overthrow the government by force. A person found guilty of seditious conspiracy or advocating the overthrow of the government may be fined and sentenced to up to 20 years in prison. States also maintain laws that punish similar advocacy and conspiracy against the state government.

Yes it does. However if he succeeds then it is acceptable behavior.

You think the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard - plus the National Guard and state, county and local police forces - will be overwhelmed?

On the other hand, some innocent people might get killed in the crossfire.
