Another plus for Perkins is that you can occasionally find a group of local high school girls (all 18+, I checked) that will play cards with you.

I did forget about a forgotten treasure. At the grocery store, they have those cheese-filled pretzel bites (oven-cooked). When my buddies and I used to have Hockey Night In Canada get-togethers, we'd go through boxes of those.

You're both wrong. There's no need for that at NMU. They just buy it by the pallet, grind it up and put it in the dorm food.

Agree on the Potato Oles. Love those things. Whoever said that Taco John's is a poor mans Taco Bell has it backwards.

That said, as much as I love me some Taco John's, I have no idea how the one in Hudson passed the health inspection (maybe they bribed the inspectors with Potato Oles?). I haven't been there in a few years, but that place had one of the most disgusting restrooms I've ever seen.
