2025 Women's Worlds starts tomorrow

I enjoyed this from Nicole. Both Canada and the US have more talent than they know what to deal with. Very exciting for the pro league

Fantastic to see Watts and Gardiner thriving out there, latecomers to Team Canada.
Czechia is now the attendance record holder for attendance at the Worlds tournament. Over 122k total attended a total of 29 games.

I'm glad Canada was able to get it to OT, because the penalty call that got US to the 5-on-3 was really not a good call, IMO. What was Stacey supposed to do? Frankel was all the way out to the faceoff dot.

That gold medal winner goal was all Tessa Janecke - her forecheck made the play happen, and then she finished it for the win.
Absolutely! Good for her. I get they were exhausted and Janecke was all over her but Larocque should have possessed the puck longer until she had a better plan.

I don't know what Larocque was thinking with that pass, and I've liked her for a lot of years. Janecke just decided Larocque's thinking time was over and got after her.

Yes, thjs was a terrible call by the refs. and they even reviewed and then confirmed it!!! Can a forward not compete for a puck against a goalie FAR out of her crease!!!

An incredible 29 minutes on D for Edwards. 26 for Harvey.

Did anyone expect this? Am I reading something wrong. I’m flabbergasted a player can just hop onto defense versus a team like Canada. Definitely understand USA loves having her on D on the power play. She didn’t look super comfortable in her own end, never seemed to be the D in front of the net in what I saw, but obviously she got the job done! Impressive.

Insteresting that US converts Edwards, while Canada has a hybrid D in Jaques and she hasn’t really broken through as far as ice time yet.
