Well aren't we lucky we get to have the 3peat Statesmen in our division, and also the Skidmore Thoroughbreds, should make for some new great competition and rivalries ....Not sure of the travels partners but again will be a welcome change for most.......................................................Lets go Lakers!!!!!!!:):):)

as for Oswego we have 25 players eligible to come back hope they all do, with 7 Dmen we may look to add a few and a few forwards as well, maybe room for 3-5 new players depending if all return...Only lost 1 forward, just about all the scoring is coming back with Burke as ROY and Cohen leading in goals should be fun to watch...The D looked solid,as well as the net minding so looking forward to Whiteout Weekend in person and maybe a trip up to The Campus Center to watch Hobart......Let's Go Lakers!!!!

Some depth on the blue line will help for sure. I also hope we can trust our backup goalies a little more next year. Milbergs stats down the stretch of the regular season were quite bad and I think it was because he played essentially every game. I think either one can give us a chance to win vs the bottom 4 SUNYAC teams which that alone reduces milbergs workload by almost half

Milberg is a good solid goalie, but I'm not sure he's the one that can steal a game. I'd like to see more of Z, but the coaches see him in practice daily and they make their decision. Milberg was also let down by the defense quite a few times later in the season.

Yeah, it was very nice of Geneseo to bail and open the door for Hobart to move in..... From the frying pan into the fire. Go Lakers!

I thought I read on here that Canton is with Potsdam, Platty with Skiddy, and Oz is with Hobart (that'll be a fun weekend for the home teams)

Not sure I cant keep up with this sometimes, we will have to ask Russell.......
spwood was the one who discovered the new travel partner arrangement. And based on the posted Potsdam and Canton schedules, he appears to be correct as HockeyTimes8 just stated.

Ok so it looks like Platty Skiddy for Whiteout Weekend...gotta wait til 2026 ugh.....

So, I've only been to Oswego for an away game, and that was pretty cool. How would you rank the other venues in the SUNYAC (please no comments on THE COOLER, I'm really sensitive after all those mean Utica posts )

Visited all the SUNYAC teams (except Canton) 2 years ago so here's my rundown.

Tier A The Best of the them all
The Deb-Oswego
The biggest crowd, the loudest and most lunatic student section (don't bring any kids/grandkids anywhere near them unless u want them to learn ALL of George Carlins 7 favorite words and more) you can find not just in the SUNYAC but arguably the country. Most importantly home of the current SUNYAC champions. GA tickets are probably the most expensive in the conference I believe they're 10$ butI also believe they're senior/child discounts but don't quote me on that.

Tier B/F Depends on Who you ask
The Ronny B-Plattsburgh
I personally think this rink is a blight upon all human civilization that should be condemned and blown up. Other people would say it's a top 2 arena in the SUNYAC and a top 2 atmosphere and one of the best in the country. Tickets were in the 5-10 range can't remember the exact amount.

Tier C So identical I think they were made by the exact same contractor
Alumni Ice Arena-Cortland
Sets of wood bleachers on both sides with standing areas on both ends of the rink. Can be a good atmosphere during the playoffs during the regular season eh pretty mediocre.Free admission was a very nice touch.
Buffalo State Ice Arena-Buffalo State
Same design as Cortland. Can't remember if admission was free. If it wasn't free no more than $5

Tier D Nice Facilities but small

Maxcy Ice Arena-Potsdam
They have actual seats but only on one side of the ice. Decent little facility. Admission I believe was $5 for adults
Steele Hall Ice Arena-Fredonia
Also very similar to Potsdam except they have metal bleachers instead. Can't remember if admission was free or not but also probably in the $5-10 at max

Judging from the live streams of the game, I would guess Canton's ice rink falls into this category but I've never been.

Tier D The Coolers Less Cool Cousin
Morrisville Ice Plex- Morrisville
Like the cooler you will often find fans here in their winter hats and gloves while sitting on blankets due to the cold metal covers they put over the wooden bleachers. Nothing will ever match the cooler but this place certainly ain't warm. The 5$ admission is an absolute rip off until you remember you're playing Morrisville and 99% of the time it's a free win

And then there are the students in t-shirts, tank tops and shorts... go figure.

Thanks for the rundown of the rinks, I'll probably get to Oswego and a couple of the others this year. At least the The Cooler is free . The Community of Geneva is really looking to upgrade with the Colleges....but who knows what that means. Local meetings are in the works. I would prefer to start from scratch on campus but it would really piss off the City if we abandoned them and didn't offer use at a new facility. Then again, The Cooler has been pretty lucky ice with 53 in a row.
