2023 Patty Kaz Prospects?

I like the odds for the leading scorer...
That's where I'd go. Mueller has had a nice career and could be the best player, but I'm not sure why playing together with two other top-10 talents against a weak schedule didn't add up to more than 4th-best stats. If they didn't give it to Jaques last year when she stood out more and would have been my choice, not sure how she gets it now. Congratulations to the 3 finalists and all of the top 10 on great seasons!

What impressed me about OSU and Jaques this year is with the all the Olympic / residency talent that returned to Wisc and Minn I think OSU could have reasonably fell off a bit. But somehow they didn’t, instead they stayed at number 1 most the year, including winning a series against Colgate, and had another program first with the reg season championship and I think Jaques was a huge part of it.

But it’s a forward favored award and the WCHA won it last year so maybe it’s the ECAC turn. Can’t go wrong, no matter who wins.

I agree with you; I just thought she was even more dominant last year, both in terms of her production and her importance to the team. They didn't have Maltais nor Webster last year, and I thought she had to carry a heavier load.

But yes, three great choices!

I remember one year the CCHA at their Super 6 tournament hosted a party with free food and FREE BEER! The Canadian fans were estatic. I was there and with the drunken displays on the dance floor let's just say the CCHA learned their lesson and never repeated that mistake!

Good thing Wisconsin fans didn't show up...

Anyone think Jaques chances went up with Muller getting shut down yesterday?
No, because the vote took place long ago. Unless something has changed over the years, the last vote for the Kazmaier is on the list of 10 finalists. Then the top 3 are announced, but there isn't another vote.

Got my first chance to see Heise play in last night's Minny-Wisco game. I could see how she won the Kaz last year and don't understand how she was not top 3 this year. WOW.
