But that's D1, so rules don't apply. The teams in the "play in" rounds aren't given a seed unless they win, but those teams are given credit for being in the tournament.

I know. But I was a bit meaner in my initial response, and didn't really notice all the smileys, since Badger was just trying (successfully, I might add) to rile me up.

Genny got screwed ! They should be in opposite half of draw from Norwich plain and simple. They were top 2 teams in country for most of the season - why have them meet in semi-finals? Whatever cross-eyed mental midgets made up the draw need to switch Genny with Utica.

They are 3rd in PWR. Utica is 1 & Norwich 2. The poll means nothing. That is why.

The only poll that really matters is the one that had Utica 1, Norwich 2, Genny 3, the coaches poll is a popularity contest of nonsense

It’s not like there are cupcakes on the other side of the bracket. The championship will probably go through Norwich anyway, this just means they have to beat them in the semis instead of the finals.

The PWR determines how the brackets align for the Frozen Four, but in any case, stressing over who you might play in the semis is ridiculous (which, folks is still spelled with an "i", not an "e".) Once you are in the tourney, you just beat the teams that you face. To win the title, you may have to beat Norwich. Does it matter if that happens in the semis or the finals, no.

Exactly! Did it matter what game USA beat the Soviet Union in 1980? No, because the game against the Soviet Union was game that truly mattered.

Screwed? How about finishing 8th in final PWR like UWSP and getting scratched?

Very entertaining games between two teams with + speed.

As a Utica fan, I have certainly seen enough of Adrian for one year, though. ;)

UWSP is 12 in pairwise,,,’,,, trinity and UNE would have had an at large before them,,,,, And I take no pleasure in saying that as them and Adrian are normally a good quarter final game to go to Frozen 4,,,, BTW Adrian missed an at large by .003 points last year,,, 8 things needed to happen and they all happened and Umass Boston got the last bid,,,,
That was a tough one,,, was expecting UWSP to beat Eau Claire and get into tourney

They did travel well and being down 2-0,,, 4-2 the first game and 3-0 the second game,,,, I give Utica all the credit in the world for not quitting ,,, most teams at Arrington arena would have folded ,,, a real good team

Adrian was the fastest/deepest opposing team we've seen all year.

Not trying to stage a love-fest here, but beware the Bulldogs.

I would not be at all surprised if they won the hardware.
