Once we start putting sincere social democratic policies in place they will be as wildly popular as Social Security and Medicare and the days of Reaganite (and before that Cold Warrior JFK) Neofeudalism will be numbered.

We are headed back to the days of 90% top marginal rates, rebuilding the middle class, and unleashing our economy for everybody. The Plutes probably even realize that -- the locusts just want one more summer of razing the fields before they go back underground for another 13-year hibernation until the average voter forgets their rapine yet again.

An additional problem if either Warren or Sanders win the presidency is that both Vermont and Massachusetts have Republican governors (how the **** did that happen, btw?) and any replacement will likely be an R.

Sanders isn't going to be the nominee so that's not a concern. Regarding Warren the appointed Senator can only serve for a short amount of time before a new election is mandated (90 days maybe) so whoever Good Time Charlie Baker appoints won't be in there for long.

Mittens and Baker's election isn't that surprising. Mass state Dem party is USELESS. The people they throw up as nominees for gov are either career hacks or not ready for prime time. The reason for this is simple. Anybody with half a brain can earn far more working here than what politicians make even if you include bribes. So what you're left with is descendants of former politicians and failed lawyers.

Outsiders on the other hand who have zero to do with the state apparatus fare much better. Deval Patrick for one and Lizzy Warren as well. As surprising as it sounds, Scott Brown would STILL be Senator right now if the GOP had only approved Warren to run the CFPB thus taking her out of the race. They had no one else to put up against him.

Having said all that Baker is a competent gov and isn't a Nazi. Not sure why he's still in the GOP at this point.
