Well I’m not the one claiming it’s not happening lol.

I thought you disavowed the conspiracy. Now you are back on the bandwagon...I wonder why ;)

It's ok trix...at least this time Bernie will have an excuse for losing. :D. And Warren is a much better candidate to lose to than Hillary :)

Hey fade did you get your right wing media check yet? Between that and my Soros money I'm set for a decade! :)

I disavow the idea that the primary was rigged or whatever. If you think the news operations owned by billionaires aren’t against Bernie then you’re literally dumber than a rock.

I didn't. But as soon as I get that check, I am leaving Holland.

Ignoring the rest of the noise...i just got back in town and avoid politics on my vacations so...what seems to be the consensus on the debate? I saw the bullet points but was wondering what specifically did people like and hate about what was said?

I’d say the most notable things were Buttigieg and Klobuchar trying (badly) to attack Medicare for all. And Kamala finally gearing up an attack on Warren for... not wanting to ban Trump on Twitter and talking about how she’s be better on justice or something

Other than that if you’ve seen the previous debates you probably didn’t miss much.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

Warren was treated as the front-runner.
Biden looked meh.
Sanders was a non factor.
Mayor Pete was feisty
Harris did nothing.
Klobuchar was best of the pack behind them, but had a bad 2nd half.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

Unsurprisingly, Woke Twitter was not a fan of Buttigieg's performance.

Still no Soros check. That stingy old fck owes me interest!

Projection. Always projection

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

Yeah, but he's a fundraising machine and is gaining steam on Biden in Iowa.

I don't know what he's auditioning for. Veep under Warren maybe? His obvious path is a statewide win as Gov or Sen but coming out of IN that's blocked. He doesn't have the chops to be AG or the experience to be SecDef or SOS. We need a Secretary of Midwestern Wholesomeness.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

I doubt he's trying to be a VP for Warren or Bernie when he goes out of his way to attack medicare for all (despite going on MSNBC in February and saying how it's clearly the best option).

Election's 13 months away. The average voter has trouble remembering what happened 13 hours ago.

He was originally auditioning to be Harris' veep. Then she sh-t the bed so now his zombie campaign needs to pick a goal.

Re: 2020 Democratic Challengers Vi: The Undiscovered Country

I suppose it's possible he has another "epiphany" and flip flops back but even then IDK why anyone would want him as their VP as it doesn't really shore up any weakness which is typically the purpose of that position.

He's young, a veteran, a member of the LBGT+ community and from the Midwest. He's like a walking electoral bingo card.

He's center, she's left.

He's a boy, she's a girl.

He's flyover, she's coastal.

He's military, she's academic.

He's young, she's old.

He's white, she's an injun.

And we all get the Veep debate moment where he moves to shake hands and Pence runs to Mother screaming "rape!" Even Republicans want to see that.

Maybe. How much did Biden rag on Obama through the 2008 primary?

Also:

Yeah, but he's also thirty seven. He's not auditioning for VP, he's probably auditioning for 2028 when he'll probably have had at least two other federal jobs.

If that's the case, he's not making a great case. Because the country is moving slowly to the left. In 10 years it's going to be a very different place. Ten years ago, Obama had just started to support marriage equality. M4A might be a basic qualification in 2028. He should be marketing himself as somewhere between Warren and Harris. I don't think ragging on the SocDem wing of the party is going to buy you any favor. Maybe it's fine, because you're not wrong about the memory of the American voter.

A strong public option would be my choice for him to take, which it seems he's doing. Obamacare on steroids. But he comes off as attacking M4A which puts him in the camp of guys like Ryan and Hickenlooper. You don't want to get painted with that brush if his platform is "Medicare for All Who Want It".
