I would think a discussion on the 50th anniversary of MLK's death would revolve around MLK and lessons learned since then, not a critique on the one and only black President's political skills. Couldn't that have waited until the next day? Especially unfortunate since a person of Sanders age has lived to see almost the entirety of the modern day civil rights movement from Montgomery and Selma and Brown vs Topeka Board of Education and can give a personal perspective. For him King isn't just a figure from the history books like he is for many of us.

The forces who don't want inequality and The Heist discussed are using this as a way to smear economic liberals. The same thing is going to happen to everyone who puts economics before race and gender. There are enough B students coming off the academic conveyor belt who have been indoctrinated this way for it to generate a lot of heat on lefty message boards.
But it's all a deflection to keep the Plutes away from the hot needle of financial and tax reform. Keep your eyes on the prize. Save the Middle Class, save the World.

What cause is he damaging?
Guy who compromised and negotiated against himself on healthcare and handled the bailout poorly rightly gets criticized for it as it lost the party a ton of seats in 2010.
