With the season starting in 9 days with a home game against UConn, time to fire up the season thread!
What a bummer! Pushing it back is going to make ZERO difference in terms of Covid, or the potential spread of Covid. It's an alarmist reaction to a non-existent "problem." I mean, the team is essentially in a bubble and fans weren't going to be allowed at the games anyway. This decision reeks of political correctness IMO. Wow, leave it to Vermont....UVM announced today they are pushing back the winter sports until around mid-December, postponing several hockey games

No, UVM hockey influencing the spread of covid, one way or the other, is a non-existent problem.Quarter of a million dead is a non-existent problem? Out of control virus spread across the US is a non-existent problem?? Hospitals at full capacity, healthcare workers stretched beyond the limit because of a non-existent problem?? Huh. Who knew?

Haha, you make a wonderful argument for the cancellation of the entire HE season, as well as all sports both professional and amateur. Actually, why stop there? The same risks that you cite are involved anytime you step out of your home. So, BU was scheduled to be up there first weekend in December. Let's say someone at The Gut has tested positive and is there when BU is there. A player or coaching staff gets infected. Gets on the bus to drive home to Boston. The bus driver gets infected, who them infects his wife, etc. You are wrong that it's a non-existent problem. We're not just talking about the players. There is staff involved to make sure the games are played. Their lives aren't as worth it, as long as you get to see some games?

I think the bus driver is much safer driving a college hockey team getting tested multiple times a week versus a bunch of random people who aren’t getting tested at all.
UVM was cleared to begin again on December 18, right? Yet, as I understand it, we won't play until the following weekend at home against NU. I wonder if any thought's been given to playing two games next weekend to make up for some of the games that were postponed? Of the four teams that we've missed games against, neither BU nor UConn have games scheduled for next weekend. Seems like a good opportunity to get going and start getting back on schedule.
