The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways.

Nice accolades for Penn State, however, having three nominated may work against each player as if there are any PSU fans among the voters, three players may cannibalize votes from each other. The nominations have to be good for the program.
After one, it's Penn State up 2-0 at RIT on two quick late goals by Julie Gough and Olivia Wallin. RIT took the only penalty of the period, and Penn State leads the shots on goal 14-7. Natalie Heising is a scratch for today, and Anna Promsersberger is back, so the lines are all scrambled.
After two periods, it's Penn State up 4-0 on goals from Jess Ciarrocchi and another one from Julie Gough. Penn State and RIT both took a penalty, and Penn State leads the shots on goal 30-10.
Penn State takes this one by a score of 5-0 on Julie Gough's third goal of the game. Penn State led the shots on goal by 52-13. RIT took three penalties and Penn State took one. Not a lot of surprises here, and I guess it's good for RIT that Natalie Heising wasn't here to keep the usual top line intact. This win clinches the CHA regular season title for Penn State!
At the end of the first period, it's Penn State up 2-0 at RIT, on goals from Olivia Wallin and Mikayla Lantto. Penn state leads the shots on goal 14-3, and neither team took a penalty. It looks just like yesterday's game, but Penn State is really controlling this one.
After two, just like yesterday, it's Penn State up 4-0 on goals from Maeve Connolly and Jess Ciarrocchi. Both teams took a penalty, and Penn State leads the shots on goal by 25-10. Rene Gangarosa got to take a penalty shot but didn't score.
Got to watch two periods of the PSU vs RIT game. The difference in announcers really makes a difference when watching. Was surprised Penn State didn't get another goaltender some time. Penn State spends a lot of time on transitions with D going East West and needs to learn to stretch the neutral zone and hit forwards with speed. Better skating teams will expose this and really bottle up the neutral zone. Nice to see #23 and #4 get rewarded for their gritty work ethic.
And that's a wrap for Penn State and RIT, with Penn State taking the sweep on another 5-0 game. Amy Dobson got the third period goal. RIT took two penalties and Penn State took one, with neither team scoring on the powerplay. Penn State led the shots on goal 37-12. Penn State didn't exactly take their foot off the gas pedal, but this one just felt like about a 75% effort - still good, just not crazy fast like usual. Penn State moves to 15-1-2 on the season.
Next up is the season finale with a series at Mercyhurst next Friday and Saturday.
Very possible and would be an amazing accomplishment for the program. With both Boston College and Colgate losing at least one game in their weekend series PSU should rise to 7 at a minimum. Either way, PSU is in solid position to finish the season strong and head into the CHA tournament on a high note.
That's baloney - BC has lost four games to Providence and BU who are not in top ten. Colgate has been .500 over second half of the season. Beating RIT 5-0 and 5-0 is right where scores needed to be. The voters in poll must be waiting for Mercyhurst results can be the only logical explanation. Good thing I'm not a gambler on rankings, lol.
