2019 Atlantic Hurricane season - what's in a name?

Re: 2019 Atlantic Hurricane season - what's in a name?

It seems like a hurricane is coming through DC today.

It was trash/recycling day in my neighborhood. Things were all over the place.

Just trash for us so we didn't have a billion pieces of cardboard take flight. Helluva wind, though.

Indeed, everything is complicated to make sure in this point of view. So if the process takes place with the help of these guys, the season would definitely be interesting.

I didn't know Ralph used a cheap ripoff of DuoLingo

Something is brewing in the Gulf. Could be a hurricane by the weekend near the TX-LA border.

Not good for an already very flooded Mississippi River basin (and, for that matter, most of the midwest still). It's been a very long stretch of water levels above flood stage along most of the Mississippi, dating back to November I believe, and still can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Big Easy already flooding because ITS F-CKING BELOW SEA LEVEL.

I love that city. Just move the whole thing to FL to class the place up. Tallahassee never deserved the capitol anyway.

I mean, the levee's are still protecting the city, there hasn't been a breach. Significant rainfall in a short time period floods a lot of places (I'm looking at you Houston, Maryland, VA, etc).

I understand that but it can't be good to have a city of half a million people in a place where the groundwater wants to be on the second floor.
