2019-20 NMU Hockey Season

Re: 2019-20 NMU Hockey Season

One thing I don't want is to be UAH's first win of the season.

Needed to do better on that homestand and NMU didn't.

Still need the brain bleach.

And this team to show up at opening faceoff.

Sorry-not-sorry. I wasn't there, though, and I won't be tonight. There will probably be more NMU folks there tonight with the Iron Bowl currently in progress.

Just looking at the numbers, goaltending has to be better. Hawthorne had a horrible 1st period in game one, 3 goals in six shots, and Kent came in and played solid, again, going by the numbers, taking 33 shots on goal and allowing two goals for the weekend. Shots on goal overall are low, which should indicate the boys are playing some solid defense. I saw Hawthorne didn't dress Saturday, he hurt or in the doghouse? Kent's numbers are trending up, while Hawthorne's numbers are going down (save percentage). Somebody needs to step up.

Re: 2019-20 NMU Hockey Season

All jokes aside, I hope NMU takes the bye, regroups, and gets ready to come out firing against Mankato in a couple weeks. They're too solid for us to play Cardiac Cats and get away with it.

I'm aware.

But I'm aware of this team needing the bye to rest, regroup, and get ready for Mankato in about a week and a half. I still need brain bleach from NMU being UAH's first win of the season and being swept by Tech.

Got our tickets for the Saturday game at BGSU 1/4. Despite being the closest DI rink to me right now, I've never been. Too bad the students will be on break.
