It is only accessible by school officials, I believe only coaches. Players can leak information about themselves, I believe Beydoun and Meek were both posted on twitter by others while I broke the news on Donohue and Noble...as one of guys that broke the news about the first two said, it's "Just word of mouth. Stuff like that gets around."

Where he will ride the pine.

Popular careers for graduates of St. Cloud State's Master's in Sports Management program:

Financial and fundraising operations
Marketing and promotions coordinator
Facilities operations and gameday management
Compliance officer
Sports ticketing
Athletic academic advising
Sports information/media relations
Athletic coaching
Athletic director

Yikes. Sounds like credential creep in action for all but the last one...

He had problems dealing with Joe (because he had occasional problems on the ice), I doubt he will find it easier at SCSU.

They do play on big ice so a premium on skating and fewer teams play the trap in their league. that might help some. I never looked at him as a super strong skater. I liked him generally, but he did seem to have brain fade sometimes.

And to be fair, the amount of focus it requires is high. It's very easy to lose focus and make a mistake.

Not to be argumentative, and maybe I overvalue his offensive skill, but I think Donohue is a great skater. I re-watched some games today and I think he was the most dynamic offensive d man on the team. He had more than his share of turnovers, but we don’t have another player of his quality to step into that role yet, except maybe Gotz.

He added a lot to the team. He was a top 4 Dman, played on the PP, and a consistent 15+ point per season contributed.

The graduation of him and Ford are going to require our Dmen to step up.

The 2nd half slide overlapped with Ford’s injury. We started playing better immediately after he returned. Not sure if it was leadership, or just a steadying influence in the back. He will be missed for sure.

unselfish play...its amazing what it can do to a team when a leader plays the way the coach wants and doesn't care about stats because he's already decided he's going into the military instead of continuing his hockey career.

I didn’t know he was going into the military. Great for him. He escaped being labeled a Badger for the rest of his life, played some great hockey for us, diploma, and now service to our country. BZ

Since you are all sitting at home bored as heck with no hockey to watch, now is a good time to dig through your attic, basement, barn, that room full of stuff... Dig out that old Huskies jersey you never wear anymore. Turn that old jersey in cash or upgrade to a new model. I have a this new offering for trade...

Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan,
When did they switch from Reebok to CCM?

Ryan,
When did they switch from Reebok to CCM?
They started wearing the new CCM set last season (2018-19). The CCM is more of a "square/traditional" cut and lighter weight than the Reebok Edge version. The main difference is that the stripes on the CCM jerseys are integral to the body fabric, not a bunch of pieces of each color all sewn together. The team cut the nameplates off the original set and reattached them to the CCM set. They also removed all the neck laces, I'm assuming to reuse those as well. Kind of penny pinching to the Nth degree in my opinion, but that's their choice. I can't believe the man-hours they spent to do that work was less expensive than just putting new nameplates on the jerseys. What is a new nameplate? $10-$15ea? What is a new neck lace? $1ea? I've hear there are Tech alumni out there who will write checks to prevent this sort of work, but for some reason they rarely seem interested in such offers.
:D

Below is an example of the new jersey before names, numbers and neck laces were added as well as the photo the team posted on Twitter the day they started cutting off all the nameplates.

...

Seeing the stitch remover makes me sad.

I got hooked on game worn jerseys in college, as I won a couple NMU game worn jerseys my sophomore year. Both jerseys were of players who had graduated/left the team and were unaltered. Was disappointed when they started taking the nameplates off and putting graduated players on the back instead (there is a #30 Tarkki (Zaniboni's jersey) at the Berry that makes me cringe). Then after I graduated they started to just take *every* name plate off before raffling.

Now NMU has changed their policy again, and they're retaining every jersey, not altering them, and offering the ones players aren't given/purchase for sale in a few years. I prefer the new un-altered policy, but I'm a little antsy to donate to my alma mater and get a few now.

Gotta keep those jobs available for students to earn some beer money.
